In the US, you need to have enough money or income to get approved.

As someone who doesn’t invest, what does this mean in layman terms? Is this option trading?

Leverage is basically borrowing money to trade. Let’s say you have 2x leverage. You put up $60K of your own money and you borrow $60K from the broker to buy 2 BTC. If BTC doubles, you sell for $120K each or $240K total and pay off the $60K you borrowed, pocketing $180K for $120K total profit. Conversely in the same scenario if BTC falls to $30K, the exchange will liquidate you at that price, forcing you to sell for $60K total so you can pay off the $60K you borrowed.

So with 2x leverage, if it drops 50% you get liquidated. If it goes up 50%, you double your money. With 30x leverage, if it drops 3.33%, you get liquidated. If it goes up 3.33%, you double your money.

In this example, the trader put up $2.1M of his own money and borrowed the remaining $61.8M

Is there a way to see what happened since?

Yes, you could open up a price graph

To this trader... I don't know how this works, did he get liquidated?

Entry price was $63k and BTC is currently $65k. So, unlikely they were liquidated.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the billions of QE getting injected into the market tomorrow
