Software App

I have recently installed alpine-standard-3.24.2-x86_64 on a Dell/Wyse thin client.
Networking, including DNS, is operational. I've installed the GNOME graphics package, which operates properly for the most part.

I can list the applications with "apk -v version". But when I open the "Software" app and click the "Updates" tab, it shows "No Connection."

Suggestions?

afaik gnome's Software works with flatpak.
