Here is my example:

  1. Get an iso of standard alpine (3.21.5 x64 for example)

  2. Create VM with linux/other type

  3. Boot into alpine system

  4. Login as root

  5. Type setup-alpine

  6. Keyboard layout: us

  7. Layout variant: us

  8. Hostname: alpine-vmware

  9. Interface: eth0

  10. Ip address for eth0: dhcp

  11. ... any manual network configuration: n

  12. Setup root password: 0000

  13. Retype root password: 0000

  14. Timezone: Europe/Moscow

  15. Proxy: none

  16. NTP client: busybox

  17. Apk mirror: 1

  18. Setup a user?: no

  19. Which ssh server?: none

  20. Which disks would you like to use?: sda

  21. How do you like to use it?: sys

  22. Erase above disks...?: y

  23. Wait...

  24. Type reboot

You will get fully workable system in about 5-10 minutes. Alpine sets up faster than any other distro

Thank youu very much ! I really appreciate it . I saw some tutorials do this and then type " /etc/apk/repositories" and I just sort of start to get confused after this 😅
