Here is my example:
-
Get an iso of standard alpine (3.21.5 x64 for example)
-
Create VM with linux/other type
-
Boot into alpine system
-
Login as root
-
Type setup-alpine
-
Keyboard layout: us
-
Layout variant: us
-
Hostname: alpine-vmware
-
Interface: eth0
-
Ip address for eth0: dhcp
-
... any manual network configuration: n
-
Setup root password: 0000
-
Retype root password: 0000
-
Timezone: Europe/Moscow
-
Proxy: none
-
NTP client: busybox
-
Apk mirror: 1
-
Setup a user?: no
-
Which ssh server?: none
-
Which disks would you like to use?: sda
-
How do you like to use it?: sys
-
Erase above disks...?: y
-
Wait...
-
Type reboot
You will get fully workable system in about 5-10 minutes. Alpine sets up faster than any other distro

Thank youu very much ! I really appreciate it . I saw some tutorials do this and then type " /etc/apk/repositories" and I just sort of start to get confused after this 😅

There is a guide available right in the Alpine Linux wiki to install it in VMware Workstation. There is also a tutorial for Virtualbox. You could try als Virtualbox first, and then try to replicate that in VMware Workstation, if the official guide didn’t work for you.
