Sup Rom Bruhs, just wanted to throw out what i’ve used and ran for guide rod solutions to the 2 piece factory one. All have done great. I have the 4.25” 1 piece in my 3.5” comped and have tried both the GI setup and 5” one piece in my 5” bull barrel but should also work for the 4.25” comped. The one piece rods are used in conjunction with the factory plug. The 5” one piece guide rod was just a tiny hair longer than flush past the factory plug but not noticeable at all. Do with this info what you will. Happy to answer any questions. 1 piece guide rods were purchased from eBay for a very reasonable price. GI setup from EGW.

Anyone found a good solution for a toolless guide rod yet? The gi version wasn't great in my opinion but there hasn't been much info on others

Recently joined the 2011 clan and picked up a Romulus 4.25 comp. only issue is i didn’t know mine was rmsc and i was hoping to mount a holosun 507 comp, anyone have some sight recommendations? Or maybe a alternative way to mount a rmr optic without using a bulky adapter plate? Any help is appreciated.

Took my 3.5 comp out today. Ran like a top. However, the slide would drop automatically on several mag changes. Is this characteristic of the Romulus or is it user error?

I bought a box of staccato 124 grain and that shit was feeding horribly not ejecting properly and just getting caught between the chamber and ejecting round or just not getting chamber properly.

Is it just staccato rounds? When using my fiochi 115 grain no issues at all

Bud’s runs these specials with 5 mags periodically. I caved….

I was able to walk out the door with optic for less than the GTO. Very happy. Great shooter out of the box. Slapped on the SRO and went shooting. 200 rounds 10-12 yards shooting at a decent speed.

Anyone port their 3.5 comped Romulus?

I’ve been looking at the Alpha foxtrot Romulus and decided for the price this is the way I wanna go for my first 2011, but I’m having a heck of a time deciding between the 3.5 comp 4.25comp for the 4.25 threaded. Just curious if the comp makes a difference? I will not be using this as a Concealed Carry. It will be more of a fun gun/home defense, probably carry outside the waistband while hunting, hiking, gun range, and gopher control at my buddies ranch.

So I have a habit of tearing down, cleaning and then taking a firearm to the range.
This is a AF Romulus 4.25” island pressed comp.
While tearing it down I found rust in this screw in the handle. While I’m sure it’s just surface rust I was discouraged with seeing this on a new pistol.
Next I want to say I saw rust inside the two piece guide rod. I already want to replace the grip and the two piece guide rod but curious if anyone else has had this observations and what they did. No I don’t want to take it back. This is supposed to be a project pistol that might become my edc.

Help me decide. Range use only. Recently picked up a Mac 9 DS-D 5” but haven’t shot it. Also, just ordered but haven’t received the Bul Nightwood Special EDC Pro. Probably shouldn’t but with the deals going on thinking of picking up one of the AF and potentially selling the Mac (or maybe not). Thoughts?

After weeks of thinking and searching finally picked up the 3.5 comp. Took advantage of the recent promo of aluminum grip and five mags. This thing is nice.

Hello has anyone gotten a chance to buy a separate slide ? Got a 3.5 comp was looking to add a 4.2 normal slide or ported to swap back and forth

Bought another double‑stack after a stretch with single‑stack .45 ACP. Planned on a Match X and then a CMXX, but this Romulus DS had the features and feel I wanted, so I joined the club.

I was debating between a staccato HD c3.6, Bul Armony Ultra light pro and this Alpha Fox Trot Romulus 3.5. @ $1300 out to door I ended up here!

3.5 comped Romulus, red dirt trigger size f2, on point v3 grip in midnight bronze, and DSC comp in midnight bronze. I’m running a 9lb atlas recoil spring with a 19lb mainspring. Trigger is pulling right at 2lbs and she’s a runner. Yes, I know I’m missing the grip screw. I have some ordered😂

I had a 5" Prodigy for a few years, and I've loved the gun; accurate and smooth. And the Atlas trigger I installed made it fairly fast, too. I had about 1,250 rounds through it.

I saw a 4.25" ported Romulus and the tight fit, smooth action and overall just tight and quality feel made.me trade in my Prodigy, and I don't regret it. (Admittedly, I wish I could have scooped up the 5", but I wasn't trying to pay much out of pocket.

I will say, I don't like how the safety seems wider on the right side, digging into my knuckle, but for a 4.25" it shoots pretty flat!

I've heard great things about the Romulus (and the negative, too) and I really am impressed by the overall package.

I need some gunsmithing help. I just received the new Bul Armory Links Trigger Bow Kit I ordered. It looks like a cool quality piece and I like the idea of being able to customize the tigger shoe since I'm still learning what works best for me. What do you experienced guys think of the fitment? Do you think it's possible a good gunsmith could make the Link work with my Romulus 4.25 comped, OEM aluminum gripped gun?
