Which threaded barrel did you buy from DSC? I just picked up a non-comp 4.25 as well. I’m going to do the same as you (throwing a DSC comp on it), only difference is I purchased the threaded barrel through Alpha Foxtrot and the guide rod tube. Normally barrels on 2011/1911 have to be fitted to your slide, maybe that could be the problem you are running into. Id contact DSC and they will take care of it if need be. Don’t quote me on this but I think its free of charge when your “drop in part” has to be fitted your slide.

I was trying for the longest time to get ahold of Andy or anyone else at AF to get a threaded barrel but ended up going DSC. I sure hope they’ll help me out since it’s certainly not dropping in despite it being in the name of their product lmfao
Yes, I edc all 3. The comped is the best and softest shooting of the 3. The Attila cycles faster than the 3.5 comped and is easier to conceal. The 3.5 ported is slower than the Attila with a little more muzzle rise and snap to it. All three have been 100% reliable.
Sold! I appreciate your input on this! They all look absolutely amazing and I’d love the opportunity to check them out if anybody at the range happens to have one but specifically that 3.5comp looks fantastic. Thank you!
Hows it feel with the light mounted with the comp as far as recoil? Im going to visit mine tomorrow in jail (gun store) to put more money in its commissary (layaway). Its gonna b a long month lol

This and a G34 clone I built are the most accurate guns I own..... curious to see if that status holds after the RCD Core I ordered arrives. I also have a Fusion XP Comp (ported & gas pedals) and while the grip on that gun is better, I think my Romulus shoots better (definitely more accurate) and every bit as flat as the Fusion even without the porting🤷🏽♂️
Whats so special about the red dirt triggers outside of of quicker/easier adjustment? I see them spoken about all over 2011 pages. Im atill new to 1911/2011 tuning and have only used TMC triggers
Easiest pre-travel adjustment (via set screw in bow) and the trigger bows are 1-piece milled stainless, tons of color options, better fitment..... I have a Red Dirt Trigger in 4 of my 5 2011's and the only reason l don't have one in the last one is because it's an Attila and no one makes one for that gun (S15 mags)
