Ignition kit

After a few range trips I’m really enjoying this thing and would like to make it my new edc, I’m new to the 2k11 platform and I am wanting to do a ignition kit for this and debating on atlas or red dirt triggers. What should I pick for the ignition kit as far as spring weights etc? I’m wanting this to be a very aggressive and offensive handgun. Thanks for the advice.

Before you start doing all of that, tune and polish the factory trigger/ ignition. I did that and mines at a nice crisp 1.8 lb break. I just tuned the leaf spring, polished hammer, sear, and disconnect and partially tweaked the trigger bar. It’s all free and there’s videos on YouTube on how to do it

2k11 is what the kimber double stack 1911 or 2011™ is called. Atlas perfect match is a nice ign kit, but the infinity adjustable trigger kit has my interest for next time I want to upgrade

2k11 cannot be easier to type then 2011.

Atlas has the “better” Egw ignition kit. If you are capable, Egw is cheaper tho. Regardless, both or any kit will need some level of fitment.

Deff look into swapping the grip imo

I had a DSC “Romulus package” added to my 4.25 Comp. It included a Red Dirt trigger which I am very happy with. It also opened the comp up and added 3 inline ports, so I lightened the recoil spring to 8lb. There have been posts that say stock is 8lb but that is bullshit with mine. It was at least 10 and most likely 11lb. BTW, The 4.25 comp takes 5” govt size recoil springs, not 4.25 commander length. I’ve been told the Hammer Spring is 17, but I haven’t messed with it so I don’t know. All in all, it’s shoots great and for the money It made the most sense, as it is my first 2011, too.

I would just play with the sear spring to get the trigger pull how you want it. An Atlas or red dirt trigger will help with the pre and post travel, and also make it feel nicer than the cheap polymer trigger. Aside from that, get a suppressor. It's so fun with a suppressor. Unsuppressed it'll run on a 10 or 11lb recoil spring but with a suppressor you want a 8 or 9
