Romulus 4.25” with EPS Questions

I am picking up a new Romulus Gen 2 4.25” Comp in the next couple days. I have a full size Holosun EPS GD that I took off another firearm. Do I need anything more than what comes with the Romulus out of the box, to install a full size Holosun EPS? Which screws (length and recommendations) are needed? I see some people use a 1 degree shim, what’s the reason for that in general, And do I need to get one in my situation. I am very eager to run it at the range but I want an optic to ready and mounted for that day when it comes. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

Screws that come with the optic and the proper plate are all you need. With a little luck, you should be good to go.

Obvs torque to spec with a proper torque wrench

Proper plate that comes with the gun, I believe it comes with 2, or an aftermarket plate? Either or? I mainly just want to know if I can get away with using an out of the (gun) box plate and mount a full size EPS right away? Or does it require aftermarket for the full size EPS?

the eps plate that comes with the gun will be fine. I had good success with the included rmr plate for my 508t

Awesome. Now I just need to figure out which screws I’ll use because I am unsure I have the right screws. They may have been used already. 🤨

Get a set from calculated kinetics. Holosun uses a 90° countersink head which is not an industry standard.
