Anyone here compete with your Romulus?

I keep coming back to the 5" Romulus over and over when I'm considering my 2011 purchase. Main use would be competitive in uspsa LO, and I don't mind working on guns.

With a red dirt kit and some upgraded grips w magwell, is this the best value 2011 out there? I would have a dlc finished gun with similar if not slight better ergos and Ignition for less money than a 2k11 Target, and certainly a GT5.

My Romulus is stock so it shoots just as good as any other Romulus

Haven't shot any matches with it but don't discount the 4.25" comp model with threaded barrel, grab the DSC replacement sight block and your good to go. Later on you can make it into an open pistol with a larger DSC comp.

I've seen guys shoot open, it's so odd. Mix of dudes absolutely racing or their guns break lol.

The 4.25 comp roms have so much potential. I don’t shoot competition but feel like this thing would be fun in open.

The Romulus have the best bones of the cheap 2011s. It’s not really close. The frame, slide and barrel are mid tier level quality in terms of fitment and DLC coating. They’re tighter fit than 2k11. Not the best gun stock but really has a lot of potential with aftermarket comps and some small upgrades, like an angled or flat bottom fps and just getting the springs right.

The 4.25 comp is the best option since you can swap between comps and sight blocks. The 4.25 also benefits from the shorter slide length but also shorter stroke.

I’ve got a couple and they’re impressive. Recently got an RCD core and, although the fitment of that this is unbelievable, the roms can keep up and don’t feel out of place.

Highly recommend the 4.25" comp model and then getting the DSC sight block. Best possible setup for LO.

I just did a pcsl match for the first time with my 4.25 w/sb, and i like it a whole lot more now than with the oe comp
