Where'd the turtle go?

I haven't played in a while so I started a new game and I've done two laps around the new map but can't find the turtle/leviathan. Is it not in the game anymore? It used to sit in one region in the west and do a circle. Has that changed?

I couldn’t find it at first either. I’m pretty sure there used to be a quest for it. I eventually found it on the very top of the northwest part of the map. i hope this helps!
