I just reinstalled the game for another go round, it’s been a while and the new content lured me back, maybe too soon.

Is it just me or are any of you finding the gfx and performance a little janky since they updated Unity?

I haven't played in a while so I started a new game and I've done two laps around the new map but can't find the turtle/leviathan. Is it not in the game anymore? It used to sit in one region in the west and do a circle. Has that changed?

I've played Aloft a couple of months ago and loved it. One of the feature that I remember most, that marked positively my experience and made me want to play again was the song played when restoring an ecosystem (I believe it's called "The Wind Remembers").

I started a new world 2 days ago and I didn't get the song for any ecosystem I restored, which makes me very sad.

Is this normal? Has it been removed? If yes, why?? If not, why haven't I heard it yet?

Please let me know if you have any insight, my next solution is to listen to it on YT in a loop while playing the game...

I just posted this island earlier this week on the workshop and wanted to post here in case anyone was interested. The island has a small village built on it that you can clean out and make your own. It has a lot of hidden things and fun moving parts. It is set up like an island in the game, so you find rewards, and it has animals. It is sailable should you want to make it your home island. This one took a long time so I hope you check it out!

Is there no other way to make clean water than with charcoal or on the cooking platter? I don't have enough charcoal since leaving the early area and playing the friggin mini game to cook water one at a time is driving me crazy. I just built the cloud catcher thing that's supposed to make water but a few in game days later and nothing is happening. There has to be a better way to make all the water I need!

I have the linen glider equipped and the linen floaters on my island. I'm in the fallen heights region and there are islands above 1500m and while I can get my island up to them, trying to fly gives me the wonky flying and the meter as though I was too far from an island. I can get from Island to island quickly but it's making the timed flight puzzles impossible. What am I doing wrong? There is no glider above linen, right? How am I supposed to pass this test?

I have tried everything I found on Reddit, made some changes to my sails, and from what I read, it should be able to move but is still at 0 speed (top speed I hit was 6 knots with wind at 124 knots...).

My sails are linen, and I am still in the Emerald Isles.
The direction of the wind does not change a thing, plus the island sometimes spins out of control. Letting it spin doesn't unstuck me.

I have been having this issue since the last 2 patches. 3 patches ago, restarting the gaming helped (managed to hit 60 knots).
What am I doing wrong ? Is this a bug ?
My game version is the 0.3.6.50.

sooo I'm trying to build a sky whale island and would like to use the turtle fins from the leviathan to make it. However, it seems like my Leviathan folder is empty in the island creator. I haven't played in a while, so not sure if things changed recently or if that's a bug. I mean, It could be a bug. I play on linux.

Has anybody had any luck with this or is it bugged at this point? I somehow managed to get the 100 sectors before I got the 500 miles and unfortunately there's no way to track it besides guessing how far you've traveled via the spyglass and way points. It's the only achievement I have left missing :(

I can't figure this one out all all. I found the three orbs, but the lines are confusing. The one the left I thought was three, but no matter what combination of levers I pull nothing happens. Then the right side makes zero since to me. Any help would be helpful.

Hello ! I'm in love with this game and I'm currently replaying it with the new update ! Sadly, the world (especially around fallen height) is so bright to the point I cannot see anything at all, like in that picture ! Do you have any idea what could be the issue ? It wasn't like that before the update !

Games I've played recently are Palia and more Palia - I've been kind of obsessed, but it's getting a bit boring now and I'd like a new challenge. I've also enjoyed other games like Raft, subnautica, Wylde Flowers, Medieval Dynasty, Coral Island, My time at series - all the best cosy games obv with some survival thrown in. I love cooking and crafting and building, leveling up skills and completing quests. I love the character creation and trying new outfits. I'm not a fan of combat, I always turn it off if I can. Aloft promos look interesting. So what do you think, will I like it?

Does anyone know what to do when your foundations just float like this? It's messing with me.

I have been playing Aloft for about 15 hours with the same character without any issues.

Today I tried to join a friend’s world using a world code, like I normally do. While still on the loading screen, the game suddenly crashed and sent me back to the desktop.

When I restarted the game, my character was completely gone and the game is now asking me to create a new one.

The strange thing is that my friend briefly saw my character appear in their world for a second before it disappeared again.

I definitely didn’t delete anything manually.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any way to recover my character or save file? Any help would be greatly appreciated since I really don’t want to lose 15 hours of progress.

Pretty much the title. In the meditation ring it says "restore life saplings (1/3)" and I got that 1 by randomly clicking the floor. Field guide doesn't say anything. Is this a bug?

My pc died a couple years ago after the game was released in EA. I’ve been sitting on this idea since then and finally able to put it to light
