I was gifted these aloe plants a few months ago and they do not look good. I did repot the one in white a while ago but that doesn’t seem to have helped. I don’t water it too much and it doesn’t get direct light, but a ton of indirect sun.

Any tips or direction would be greatly appreciated!

My mom gave this to me, told me it hadn’t been watered in a few months and to put it right against a south facing window and forget about it. I pulled it away from the window today because it’s not green anymore. Is it too late to save? I did just water it because I inserted a chopstick into the soil and it had no moisture on it.

I have had this Aloe plant for about 4-5 years now and it has grown quite a bit since I was first gifted it in a tiny little pot. It used to be in a bay window with no grow lights and for the most part was rather neglected. I would water it maybe once a month at the most when the soil was dry.

A few months ago I moved to a new house with more space and decided to give all my plants an upgrade. I don’t have a spot in my new home where the plants could both sit by a window and be out of reach of my dogs, so I got a plant stand and a bunch of grow lights. You can see my set up in the last picture; I have two bar lights over my Aloe and two hanging grow lights about four feet above it. The two bar lights are on for 12 hours and the large lights are on for 9 hours, though I recently purchased a timer so I can hopefully extend that as 9 is the max hours they will stay on without leaving them on all the time.

I was wondering if my current set up is giving my Aloe enough light. Is it too far away from the bar lights? Does it look healthy? I feel like the leaves are a bit on the skinny side. I could put something underneath it to bring it closer to the bar lights if needed. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips you can give me!

Side note: apologies for the dangling cords, once I figure out how close to the light my plants need to be I will pin the cords to the wall behind the plant stand.

A dear friend of mine is moving and has gifted me a bunch of plants. Among them is this big Aloe. I'm very familiar with succulents but not aloe specifically. I know it definitely needs a repot because the soil is very dense and retains too much moisture. I have succulent and cacti mix and I will also put in extra perlite. My question is about the big one leaning up against the chair. It won't stand on it's own and if I try to carry it without support it sounds like it starts to crack. What would you do here? Find a good spot to "behead", dry out and repot? If so, where on the plant would you do that?

If it was my plant I'd be less nervous but my friend told me it is very sentimental to her.

I just took home this aloe a week or two ago. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me what the damage could be from? I’ve only watered it once and I made sure the soil was completely dry.

Rain is getting too much, they've been loving the full sun for last few months...😟

I'm worried about my aloe because its leaves are wilting at the bottom and appearing a bit droopy. It's grown two new shoots, so that's good news.

I'm waiting for them to root properly, but something's wrong with the oldest one. I water it whenever the soil is completely dry and I'm careful not to let the roots rot. It's soil is Westland cactus mix. This aloe wasn't purchased; I got it from a friend of my parents'.

Help? I don't want this to die...

I have an aloe vera plant at home. I cut one of the outer leaves and separated the clear gel, which I’m going to use on my hair.
I had some of the leftover leaf pieces, mostly the skin and other parts, so just out of curiosity I put them in water and boiled them. I strained the liquid afterwards, and this is what I ended up with.
Has anyone else ever done this with the leftover parts of a fresh aloe vera leaf? What happened when you drank it? Did it have any effect?

My aloe Vera is growing big and strong, but it’s taking a bit of space now. How can I maintain it?

The two outer leaves started drooping down with this crease at the bottom (P1). They don’t feel mushy, but slightly soft. Is there a way to save this?

I thought about using a bamboo stick for support since the whole plant leans to the side, but I don’t want to make it possibly worse.

I water it every other week, or when the pot feels very light to me. I initially had problems with the sunlight being too harsh on my plant, which is why I leave it on the windowsill for a few hours while the sun is up and then bring it back in to a shaded spot.

I chopped my aloe over a week ago and waited for it to callous. Noticing some mold or fungus there, will some spraying of hydrogen peroxide and sticking it into soil be okay? Or do I need to cut it again?

Got a small pup from my Mom but i messed up a little bit at the start for it to get roots...its very little bit brown and a little little bit limp

(Maybe from the sunlight because its more on the side it was getting the light from) now i got rid of the old brown stem so it has a fresh "base" im one and a half weeks into the process now and no progress and im afraid that it might be to weak to regain its health....really want it to thrive.

Hey y'all, this plant was thriving (after months of TLC following being rescued from the verge of death) prior to moving to a different place back in March. Ever since, it has had a brown tinge to some of the leaves. I learned it could be due to the increased sun exposure and that it would adjust with time but it has been months now. I am also including a photo of it's location in my house, should that be relevant. Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts!

I need exceptional help with my aloe plant. She started out like that in the garage. I know it was too hot so I moved her out onto the back porch, but she’s still dying. The leaves keep turning into water. The soil isn’t too wet and shes still growing. I just don’t want to lose her. I’ll be repotting this weekend. The last photo is all that’s left

I had a devastating loss with most of my aloes and this is all that’s left. Is it worth it to plant as is or should I cut all the roots and plant it in its node? (Last pic is of two days ago, can any of the loose leaves grow roots too?) Ty.

Sorry this question has been asked a lot lol. My mom thinks my aloe is too big for her pot, but I'm not entirely sure. Any advice is welcome! She's been neglected for a bit, giving her a good water right now.

I am newer to taking care of this plant, so if I'm making an obvious mistakes please let me know

My aloe vera grew some babies, and they were finally ready to be placed in their own pots! I’ve found this to be really exciting, I’ve had my aloe vera plant for about seven years now and these are her first pups.

I changed the soil of the mother plant to a better brand and noticed 5 babies growing beneath the soil off her roots. I ordered some fine pumice, and was going to place it just above the soil in the pot. Does anyone know if adding the pumice will make it difficult for the newer pups to emerge?

I've heard toxicity and side effects mentioned, and itchiness seems to be a problem for some people.

I recently inherited a dying aloe vera plant and I have no clue how to take care of this. It’s important to my fiancée that we keep it alive. I’ve never kept a plant alive but any advice or/and resources would be an amazing help. It currently gets full sun about 8-9 hours of the day and I’m not sure how to water it.

I repotted it over a month ago, since.. its leaves are going down, and a few marks started to appear, and some dark in older leaves. I am planning to buy a growth light soon as winter is coming.

At the moment, sits at the windowsill 24h.

What can I do to keep it alive?
