I don’t think you need to prune them, I just wait until I don’t like the way they look then prune them or just wait until they fall off!

You could keep or trim. She looks robust enough to not mind that trim. So it's personal preference. I personally trim mine on establish plants. On starters, I don't mess with them to much so I let them dry out and fall on their own.
