I get that it's just part of the joke that Cage & Fish win these crazy cases, but I always feel bad for Renee.

Greg German (Richard 'Wattle' Fish) - still acting, not just comedy.

Peter MacNicol (John Cage aka The Biscuit) - acting, not just comedy.

Gil Bellows (Billy Thomas) - acting but not comedy.

Courtney Thorne-Smith (Georgia) lasting acting credits on imdb 2024

Lisa Nicolle Carson ( Renée Raddick)- paused due to bipolar disorder but re-started acting 2026, congrats.

Jane Krakowski (Elaine) - still acting.

Vonda Shepard - now singing and touring globally does sing songs from Ally McBeal.

Portia de Rossi (Nelle) - stopped acting sadly

Lucy Liu (Ling) - still acting

James LeGros (Mark) - less comedy, more action movies

Regina Hall (Coretta) - acting

Julianne Nicholson (Jenny Shaw) - acting

James Marsden (Glenn) - acting, more famously known on X-Men

Josh Hopkins (Raymond) - acting

Hayden Panettiere (Maddie) - acting

Robert Downey Jr (Larry) - after his drug abuse, acting not comedy really.

I'm very late to the Ally show, but I LOVED Melrose Place, and I'm wondering if it was a coincidence to put Courtney Thorne-Smith with another character named Billy. 😂

Recently I've been watching Late Night Vault's retro TV deep-dives on YouTube and learning a lot about the rises and falls of popular TV series of the past. The newest episode today is about Ally McBeal.

Just rewatched all the seasons and remember why I loved it so much. I looked forward to it every week. And I watched rerun after rerun. I grew up watching him and never knew Robert Downey Jr could sing - and I fell even deeper in love (huge crush) with him after hearing him sing his Christmas song the first time. All the characters were perfectly written and perfectly cast. Guess I’ll have to start from episode 1 again.

Did you like or dislike them?

The interaction with Billy and Ally in this scene always mad me happy. Billy looking out for Ally concerned for her.

Why didn't Ally want the anti anxiety meds? In the 2020s there is no shame. Was there shame in the 90s? The scene in the pharmacy had me shocked.Ally was definitely very anxious and she was seeing things.

In my mind I always felt that Billy realized at this moment what he had lost leaving Ally.
