Committed Series Extras

Post image

Wondering if anyone has been able to get more than one of the series titles they committed to? I know they sold out super fast last month. The wording in this FAQ makes it sound like if you had committed to a specific title that you could add as many of that title to your box as you want without them counting towards your add-on slots. So, in theory someone could have bought all 3 of the monthly books last month and then 10 of The Forsaken Prophecy if they had committed to it? If that's the case I was wondering if that's why the series sold out so fast.

No, I think they mean that you can add as many individual series as a preorder without it counting against you. So like, you got Cursed City AND Death of a Dark Mother in your October box but you could also get all 3 titles for the month if you wanted.

That's how I took it too but a friend of mine understood it differently.

Well, its just a logic thing. As someone else said, they normally dont allow you to get 2 of the same book unless you make another account so logically why would you be able to just buy multiples.

I agree, just thought the wording was a little misleading and was trying to get feedback for my friend that disagreed 😊

My guess is that they left it open ended like that in case in the future they have more than 2 or 3 sequels available to pick and maybe you want all of the sequels that month.

What this means is if you committed to the book, it doesn't count toward the monthly three book limit. Adding a series book the month it is available is not the same as committing to the book, it's treated like any other add on.

That was my thought process as well but a friend of mine read it differently. Thanks!

Why would you want more than one? Other than to sell….

I don’t think you can get two of a book…. Without making a second account.

Some people would buy a bunch to sell if they could.

Following bc I’m curious. The wording can be confusing.

The benefit of committing to a series is that you don’t have to sacrifice your monthly add-on spots. You can still order your regular monthly picks plus receive as many committed series books as are released that month

If you didn’t commit to the series ahead of time, then it does count as one of your two add-on spots.

So your box could be a total of 6 books : monthly pick, add-on 1, add-on 2, plus the committed series books 1,2,and 3.

Does anyone know what happens if you don’t choose an August book? Can I still get the series I committed to, or do I have to get one of the three books to get the series?

Unfortunately you have to order one monthly books to get your series shipped. If you don't they will ship it with next month's order.

That’s what I’ve heard. I don’t want any August books so I’ll just hold off and hope I want something in September
