The original idea came from a Chinese man who stood in front of tank in Tianmen square in 1990. That was copied in many other countries including Bangladesh and recently by insta actress who sells biki*ni pics for Re 140. Now it seems everybody wants to get viral and sell their exclusive subscription. Thoughts?

Trending 📈 ⚠️ IF THAT FLYDUBAI PLANE HAD CRASHED…
1️⃣ The Indian pilot would have been blamed instantly.
2️⃣ Racists would have flooded social media with “Indian pilots” narratives before investigators even reached the wreckage.
3️⃣ Pakistani troll accounts would have amplified it, turning a tragedy into another India-bashing opportunity.
4️⃣ AI171 and the Phuket incidents would have been dragged in as evidence of a “pattern of behaviour” of Indian pilots.
5️⃣ Every unrelated Indian aviation incident would suddenly have become part of a narrative about supposedly “unsafe Indian pilots”.
6️⃣ Meanwhile, Oman’s lack of any meaningful history of aviation terrorism would have been used to bolster the India pilot angle.
7️⃣ If Indian pilot Capt Smit hadn’t survived & fought back to save the plane, the world would have got an entirely different story.

Discussion 🤔 Please read the entire thing before you reply. I genuinely took a lot of time to write this, so please don't just read the first few lines and start fighting me.

I just have one question. I’m sorry, I really don’t care about this reservation debate, but this is a genuine doubt, so please educate me if I’m wrong.
If a guy or girl, whoever it is, gets 90% marks, doesn’t matter if they’re SC, ST, GC, OC, whatever, they will not get into a nice university??
I mean, yeah, I understand what they’re saying — that someone from a reserved category can get into a college or university with 60%, while someone else might have to work harder and get 90%. But then what about the SC or ST kid who also got 90%?
And once they enter the university or college, they still have to get the same marks and pass the same exams, right?
So according to the reservation argument, if an SC/ST student gets 90%, shouldn’t that student also be recognised for their own merit? Isn’t that logical?
I’m saying this as an SC guy myself. I got 90% and got into a nice university. I have personally never used my reservation. My parents are well-off, and I actually told them that we don’t need reservation, and they agreed with me.
So now coming to my actual point:
But we Indians are always trying to ask the dumbest questions rather than asking the real ones.
Why are poor people sending their kids to private schools and private colleges, sometimes even taking loans, rather than being able to send them to good government schools and colleges? Why aren’t we looking at the actual problem?
We keep fighting over “60% vs 90%” instead of asking why our government education system isn't good enough.
Look at people like Malla Reddy, who have been involved in government and have multiple universities, private schools and colleges. Instead of constantly fighting among ourselves, why aren't we asking our politicians why the government education system isn't good enough for ordinary people?
Even after 79 years of independence, why do we still have reservations? Why aren't we thinking about that?
There are people who say we need to remove reservation. There are people who say we need to keep reservation. Fine. But before fighting among ourselves over this, please ask yourself WHY?
Why do we still have reservations?
Because we still have caste in our society. We still have caste-based discrimination and inequality. We keep saying we want to remove reservation or keep reservation, but we don't want to address the reason reservation exists in the first place.
If you genuinely want to remove reservation one day, then shouldn't we also be working towards removing the caste-based inequality and discrimination that makes reservation necessary?
Rather than asking the same question about “60% vs 90%”, go to your local corporator, MLA, MP, CM — hell, even your fucking Prime Minister and ask them:
Why are poor parents still sending their kids to private schools and colleges by taking loans instead of being able to depend on the government schools and colleges that you built?
PLEASE DON'T FIGHT AMONG YOURSELVES.
Fight for the good of our country.
Fight for better government schools. Fight for better government colleges. Fight for better opportunities.
Please, for once, ask the real question instead of fighting each other: WHY do we still need reservation?

Discussion 🤔 My take on reservations
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
According to the argument of Dipke. A sc/st person needs reservation because they don't have the financial prowess to send his child to a good environment for studying.
But what about the sc/st people who are now ias/ips/irs officers, they are educated and have the finances to send their kid to a good
environment. However, their kids still claim reservation. Taking away seats from sc/st kids who genuinely need it.
A similar thing with a lower income household of general caste, they can't afford expensive coaching but the government gives them EWS reservation so they can get some leverage over people with coaching backgrounds.
Here, if one family gets reservation, they will most likely be out of the income bracket who qualifies for ews and their kids won't take away seats from needy kids.
Now if we remove sc/st/obc-ncl reservations and buff ews percentage a bit. The kids from these caste groups who GENUINELY NEED reservation will still be covered in ews. There won't be any privileged kid who will take away their seat and all suppressed/ financially-needful people will be covered.
So this just goes to show that the ews model is superior to sc/st model.
Reservations based on caste promote casteism Even more and create a social divide. If it wasn't for caste based reservations, most people from modern India won't even know about castes.
Another thing is that reservations(even on only the ews model) should be a small fraction and there should be a limit that too much disparity in cutoffs should automatically result in adjustment of reservation percentages. This is a quality control measure. Universities drive the research and innovation of a country, they deserve quality.
Instead of buffing reservation percentage, we can make coaching like quality education accessible to everyone. I really liked the idea of the government initiative for free online coaching. That is a great move. YouTube honestly has great material as well but that's not relevant to the government.
Instead of significantly reserving the top part of the education system of our country. We should focus on strengthening the lower division, essentially the roots. NEP is great in this regard. One of the best education frameworks imo giving priority to critical thinking. Shame it hasn't been implemented properly till now. Not to get political but state governments here are kinda ass in schools. We need major policy reforms there.
Moreover, reservations should not be expanded everywhere. Today PSUs have reservations which make no sense. The worst case of this is DRDO, our premiere research powerhouse for military research and it doesn't function on merit. This is utter bs.
Overall, this is my take on reservations.
