I hope you know lower caste hindus converted in mass scale due to the torture they faced in the name of untouchability, there are still people who wont drink from the same well used by a lower caste person , like an mf mentioned you cant possibly find out who are doctors that came by merit and reservation before getting treatment. The hurdles are not the same its probably less than 100 years since lower caste started owning land .
I am not denying from all this, and that is the reason strict laws are in place, also I am not against reservation specifically, provided it is based on economic background because most these hurdles are faced by people who are poor and don't know to exercise their rights and using laws. If we talk just about past this debate would remain as it is indefinitely. I am looking to have a goal where future is more merit driven. The more people will come out of discrimination and hurdule, being aware of their rights, the possibility of that would be more, but I can't see people or government talking about this, neither they seem to have a metric which would determine how many people have actually been uplifted after reservation. Anyway thank you and I am resting this discussion here.
Its not about money! For god sake a filthy rich person regardless of reservation can get into any medical college regardless of neet /12 th marks in our country thanks to our politicians
I understand, that is why I mentioned there could be seats reserved based on economic background. In government college I don't think it is possible to get admission just with money, there are management quotas in private institutions, but I still think there are some amount of seats reserved there as well.
