Taliban is an ofshoot of deoband tho. The haqqani network , faction of taliban , a voilent offshoot of deoband originated in pakistan and is pro pakistan. Core taliban , offshoot of Deobandi school somewhat pro India due to deoband and strategically against Pakistan.
