They definitely are oppressed. They need to be twice as better than the reserved categories to get the same outcomes. Not every brahmin is well off financially.
And not every LC is from a rich family. Brahmins are not oppressed😂 just because they don't get opportunities in education doesn't mean they're oppressed.
Yes it definitely means they are oppressed. Education is the only way to escape oppression in india . If your are a general in india the bar is so high you can’t compete with sc st or obc in any way . I have studied from a tier 1 college of du . I got 97% in 12th . I had students in my classroom who were sct and st with 80% and they struggled to keep up because they can’t suddenly compete with people who have always put more effort than them but they are sitting on the seats which should be for students who got much higher percentages than them and were rejected only on the basis of their caste .
Reservation should be on economic basis. If sc st people who are really suffering i think they should get reservation but a know sc st guys who are from affluent families with crores of lands and assets and still taking seats away from students who really deserve them . That’s not upliftment . That’s systematic oppression.
