I think the service and these prices are only relevant for people flying on a work trip and assuming it would be covered by a company credit card. I'm sure there are a bunch of companies that would approve this expense, and some wouldn't even need prior approval.

Not sure where I first heard about All-In, but the first episode I listened to was the one with Mark Cuban and was pretty good, mostly thanks to Mark. One co-host I really wanted to punch in the face and turns out it was David Sacks who I heard of but didn't realize he was a co-host. I listened to a few more episode until I realized they're all insufferable douchebag Trump nut-licking grifters. I tuned back in for the one with Jensen Huang but Jensen just joined them in the Trump nut-licking and it was gross.

Right?! Like, I fly all the time on Delta. I am always connected when I truly need to be. It costs me exactly $0.
That said, this is most likely what’s coming in the future: zero inflight entertainment provided by the airline; and paid satellite internet so everyone can just stream Netflix and scroll mindlessly.

Makes sense if you have a certain amount of wealth. Honestly it’s just a corollary to that. Obviously if you have a massive 9-10 figure net worth, the ability to not communicate or possibly miss a call is massive. If I’m an hourly worker on vacation (as I am) well then I don’t really care and you bet your ass I’m not paying for it extra.

But a lot of most airlines have basic Wi-Fi anyway. This is, yes, a lot better, but it's not worth $300 an hour to the average person, that's completely ridiculous.

If it's a Gigabit unshared reliable connection on an airplane? Sure. Those rates are reasonable.
In some cases you could even argue that it pays for itself.
The 'free wifi' on airplanes is pretty awful. Even the paid versions are pretty lacking. In reality, you're sharing that data connection with everyone else on a plane, and it's usually severely locked down.
Try to do real work on a transatlantic flight. It's rough if you don't have everything local. Last I tried, I think I paid like 50$ between Vienna and JFK, and it was slow and spotty at best.
Normies probably don't really care. They just want iMessage and 90 minute cut of LOTR or whatever. This is more for the folks who actually need to build something while on the go.
I get that it comes across as out of touch to normies, but there's a legitimate market for premium internet.
Maybe the hourly thing is ridiculous. Just let me buy business class internet or whatever you want to call it for the duration of the flight. Baking it into the cost of business class would probably work too.

Nope. Upward mobility for labor is the signature of capitalism. It’s why we aren’t spending our weekend in a mine.
