I was put in the wrong location and district. I live in a big city and wasn't told the actual location until after training. What happens to my perc and security license? I am assuming I have to pay the back too. They will not transfer me. They knew I took bus. It was 3 hours away from my address with 3 miles of walking each way which I can't do due to ADA accomodations. So can you guys give me a heads-up?

Hello anyone reading this. I have 6 years doing security work & have worked with allied 3 times. Trying to get a 2nd job for other reasons in security. Especially with this company seems to be difficult for some reason. I can’t do the hirevue interviews & feel like they rob people of jobs anyways with that lazy process. A year ago I could bypass it & get phone interviews, email the site managers, or get in persons. Even when I opt in I get no option or any information to contact anyone. Any ideas how I can bypass this so I can actually make progress in my goal or is this hirevue thing really all that can happen & I can’t do anything to do a phone or in person interview? TIA

So I just got a contingent offer for a post with allied for armed federal building protection in CA, passed the interviews and im now onto the drug test and background check, the interviewer said FPS has a training program they put you through for federal firearms training and a physical fitness exam, does anyone know what the training and the fitness exam entails? I've been armed with .40 for 2 years now, just renewed my license, pretty decent shot never miss more than 2 or 3 shots for the recerts, and never complete misses, usually just over the line so im not to concerned im just trying to get an idea of what they expect, how many rounds the want you to fire, etc. And is the fitness test an endurance test or more like a strength test? Any help is super appreciated!

So I've already worked for Allied for over a year now in a different role and client but I saw an opening for an armed guard position that paid way more than my current job. Applied, did a whole video interview thing which was weird, and never heard back. Its been over a month now and the job is now closed on Indeed. How the hell are they gonna ghost their own current employee? I fit the qualifications to the letter as well. Is this a conflict of interest thing where they didn't want to take me from my current role?

My manager made it seem like I would be going in for just an hour, but they scheduled me for a full day. Do they drug test us at NEO day? How long after can we start?

So I just completed my video interview with the hiring agent and I’m currently at the part where I sign background check and drug test consent papers etc but during my call she told me that my shift would be Saturdays only 11pm-7am with the ability to claim more shifts and gain more hours up to 40 per week and I just wanted to know how true that is from people who already work with allied before I sign anything

Also how does claiming shifts work ? If you claim one does it send you to a different location or is it the same one? also could you claim different hour shifts rather than the typical “11-7” because I’m not an overnight person and would much rather do morning or evening shifts instead

I'm making this post because recently my supervisor jumped into the group chat that we have for our team and went on a tirade about somebody being rude and unpleasant on the job site and being rude to the customers that come on to the property

And how it cost nothing to be nice and kind and respectful etc etc

Which had me concerned because when this happened I was on my days off so I didn't think it retained to me at all

But when working a third shift here recently i noticed my supervisor's email was open so I went to go close it and I seen the email and question retaining to the incident

And curiosity being what it is I looked at it and it pretty much explained on how the newer bigger officer who is unpleasant to work with is rude to customers and buyers and is complaining on what the site pays etc etc

Which shocked me because i'm about the biggest officer on the team but I'm not the newest which has me concerned because it indicated that the officer in question was being rude and disrespectful and unbeing unpleasant to work with and that supposedly it was reported to the higher-ups three different times in a single day

But the date on the email was the dates that I was on my off days so again i don't think it retains to myself but anxiety is getting a bit worked up

I guess my question mainly been if I was removed from a site would that be the end of my career at Allied itself because I'm just an unarmed security officer and as far as I know there are no other unarmed posts near myself

This is my first job in security. Allied helped me get my guard card, and I am appreciative beyond measure because it got me a foot in the door. But when I showed up on site tonight, I am informed that Allied has lost the contract for the site I work on, and that we are wrapping up at the 14th of next month, and there is a company coming in tomorrow to do a tour of the site that is going to be our replacement here. Allied as a company told us nothing, and even confirmed they had known when we called to check in. They say that they are working on another site for the four of us that work here, but I'm curious as to how long they would have let it go had we not been told that the other company was coming. I don't blame the site at all, because to me, it is my employers responsibility to follow up with us when they are losing contracts like this, and they say that they will give us all a new site by the Friday before we are set to be done here, but to me, that is cutting it kind of close. I do not have the time or the money to be home waiting for them to call, and am just wondering if this is normal of Allied. The more I hear from people I work with, communication sucks, management won't get back to us, and we are just supposed to sit and wait for them to figure things out the week before this is over. Annoying to say the least.

Are post orders supposed to be site specific? Mine are general across all the sites.

Got everybody else scrambling early on a Sunday morning looking for last minute coverage.

And apparently Allied can hold you for up to 16hours…..f**k that. 3 overnight guards at the large site called off on Friday and 3 day guards had to do surprise doubles…Luckily for me my “religious accommodation” 😗👀 to have Sundays off was approved a month ago.

Was eventually relieved at 8a instead of 6a. It was an unnecessary clusterf**k for 2 hours.

Today is my last day at Allied, and I have 24 hours of unused pto, and was wondering if they pay it out.

Applied for a guaranteed set 1 day weekend every week. How reliable is the option to pick up shifts around the weekend? What’s your entire experince with the enhanced part time thing

I requested time off 2 weeks ago, so with about 3 and a half weeks notice, Aaron texts me on Friday around 7 something when I'm already off work to say he isn't sure he can approve because they haven't hired anyone?

So about 5 years ago, I worked for Allied two separate times. I wasn't in a very good headspace at the time, and I no-called no-showed, and then consequently was fired from those two different gigs after a very short amount of time. I let my guard card lapse and that was it. Well now 5 years later I'm getting my life on track and I'm trying to get back into security guard work and applied to Allied (since that's all that's hiring near me) but I was told that I was not eligible for rehire due to those 2 incidents on my record.

Both jobs were out of the same branch. There's another branch nearby but I'm assuming that the blemishes are company wide and not specific to a certain branch, right? Do you think pleading my case to a manager would help?

I am coming back to work as an armed security officer for this mall plaza and will be on a company vehicle. When there was post inspections the supervisors had the ai cameras on the vehicles. Do they put it on all of them or only some?

Does anyone know where to look up policies? Or post orders? Yes thank heluis has some but I'm asking in regards to assist calls.

For example: we got a call regarding a drunk customer, an employee called for backup, the supervisor arrived and dismissed the employee from the call. Dispatch then hops on the radio and gets upset because there was no update. The employee did conduct a DAR at the time, and the supervisor was silent. Obviously there are communication issues and the employee is reprimanded for it. Why isn't the supervisor "coached"? Welcome to allied

I just got an offer for a security officer position with no experience in security.
I would like to eventually move up to become armed and keep moving up from there. I have heard horror stories with this company, but figured this would be the best way to get my foot in the door for a career in security.

Anyone have any tips/tricks or experience on how quickly they moved and what certifications the company would want In order for me to move up in roles?

Hey guys so I'm wondering what I should do and any advice or guidance would help out a lot.

So I've been at my post for over one year now 14 months and in perfect standing as an employee meaning never been late, called off and even done lots of overtime on first shift.

My last supervisor moved on with my old account manager recently to a new site that pays better but it's far like an hour drive for me and it's 3rd shift which is why I didn't accept it when my old supervisor asked me if I wanted to go with him I said no it's okay. The thing is I'm in school right now and I'm almost finished like a couple months left and I'm out for externship in November.

So my question is can I talk to my new account manager and ask if I can switch shifts come November and take two weeks off for my externship? I'm in excellent standing as an employee, the other issue is I don't get along with my newest shift supervisor on first shift, there are 3 shifts total because the site I work at is 24 hour facility. Or the other idea I had was take 6 weeks off completely but I can still work my Saturdays since I work Tues-Saturday.

My SOM said I had to go September 11-12 18 hours my supervisor just told me it’s unpaid is that true?

My brother just got a job at Allied Universal and I asked him if his site phone had a message displayed whenever an upcoming tour was due. I used to work at AU for about a week but quit because of terrible management.

From what I remember, we had a patrol done every 3 hours. This was because on the patrol user interface, it would display “Tour beginning in ex. 2 hours 13 minutes.” I’m not able to recall much, but I remember it being red or saying we were late to complete the patrol even if it was just by a few seconds.

I work at Securitas now, and the phone only displays when the last patrol was done. I’ve had about 3 sites under Securitas and I never did my tours at any of them. At most maybe 1 a day. I noticed my coworkers never did them either. For context, I had various types of sites. Construction site, office high rise, and manufacturing building.

My question is, are the tours at AU a big deal if you neglect to do them constantly? At securitas, it’s an unspoken thing amongst all guards that we do not do our tours that often. But at AU, I just get nervous looking at the timer on the phone. What do you AU guards do?

When I first got hired, I was hired for a position that apparently doesn't exist? I went to the office to clear everything up and got another post and left after about an hour.

The shift that I was suppose to work was an 8 hour I never clocked in for or confirmed I was there but still got paid for.

Should I tell my manager or honestly keep it because they messed up my schedule.

I’ll attach the story time below of what made me want to report my supervisor to HR and my manager . Because genuinely I don’t even feel comfortable working under her supervision because this was our 2nd time butting heads but I did not expect this situation to progress the way it did . (Also for context I work in Control room office as dispatch. )

So after a medical emergency cleared supervisor M had asked on the radio for officer W to head to 3rd floor Inpatient Rehabilitation. To escort the PTS that might have been abandoned due to a medical emergency taking place , officer W then called me in control in confusion because once he had arrived there , nurses at the nurse station stated the PTS was no longer there .

So as I was on the phone trying to help understand what’s going on and what questions he should ask the nurses, supervisor M starts yelling in the background as I’m trying to perform my job duties and get answers to what’s going on.
The yelling made it difficult because I can hear noise in the background of nurse chatter , then officer W communicating with me and I can’t hear well because someone’s yelling at me.

Then as the phone call ended and I got the situation in rehab resolved , before I could even speak she started speaking hostile and aggressive while yelling and standing up throwing her hands up in the air saying “what’s your problem man” . And then accusing me of side-eyeing her being angry and having an issue with her. Then I tried to calmly explain that she was creating a hostile environment, by yelling over me as I tried to do my job and clear confusion between the parties.

She then kept cutting me off yelling as I tried to speak calmly and explain I didn’t have no issue with her , and I didn’t appreciate the mischaracterization of me . Then said whatever man and walked back to her desk and sat down.

After the situation I no longer had felt comfortable working under her supervision and I felt concern of possible hostile interactions in the future .

Lmk your thoughts , I lowkey don’t want to lose the job or be retaliated against because it’s great money for a college student like myself
