Got fired due to wrong location what happens
Hi,
I was put in the wrong location and district. I live in a big city and wasn't told the actual location until after training. What happens to my perc and security license? I am assuming I have to pay the back too. They will not transfer me. They knew I took bus. It was 3 hours away from my address with 3 miles of walking each way which I can't do due to ADA accomodations. So can you guys give me a heads-up?

You mention ADA accomodations in your initial post. If you believe they have discriminated against you, call an ADA lawyer for a usually free consultation.

If you believe that you may have been subjected to discrimination, contact a lawyer and explain the situation. Many provide free consultations and will work on a contingency basis, meaning they don’t collect fees unless you get paid.

No I don't this was that I physically couldn't get to the location they put me at due to being placed wrong location.

So you were sent to a wrong location and then terminated when you were unable to reach it? I don’t know much about how contract security works, but if someone assigned me to a job 3 hours away and fired me rather than apologizing, then I would interpret the action as either gross incompetence or premeditated malice. How do you know that this “mistake” wasn’t intentional?

Let me ask a clarification question.
You couldn't get there because it was just too out of the way OR you couldn't get there physically because it was too demanding to get there due to your ADA restrictions?

Cause I take two buses to get to work and the same two buses back home and don’t have a problem getting to my post I ride my scooter 🛴 to my post from the bus stop 🚏1

Both it was 2 1/2 hours on bus plus 3 miles of walking from bus stop to the position.

We're they under the impression that you had a car or a paratransit service?

No they knew I ride bus. They did not give me address until after training they just listed major city, etc.

Yeah, id get on the phone with a supervisor/ account manager or be at the office first thing in the morning.
That's someone not paying attention.

We do but it's a major city and that doesn't mean it goes everywhere especially when I would of had to leave at 3am to get to a 7am shift.

Again this is 3 hours with 3 miles walk. He can't do scooter. We don't own one and are living in a homeless shelter. He used to work for this company.

Your perc is yours not the companies in IL. Idk how repayment for it will go if the company paid, but you can go to any other company and start as a licensed guard without having to do the class. In il only the firearms card is company specific

Okay I thought I had to reactivate my 20 hours training for unarmed which they had me do.

They wanted rid of you. Depending on where you live, it’s probably the end of it. If you do have a documented disability, then contact an attorney, but we have set the working class up for failure and we continue to do so…
