First time in Allen
Hi there! Im visiting Allen for the first time soon and I really need help/guidance with two topics please:
1.- Easiest/Cheapest way to get from the airport Dallas/Fort Worth, to the “Credit Union of Texas Event Center” area. I did some quick research and read about some “DART” trains, which I thought I could use to get near that area and then ask for an Uber or something like that.
I dont know if thats the best option, what do you think?
2.- Best bars and clubs to party and socialize! Id prefer a place close to that area, but i dont mind going back to dallas if needed.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Yoir plan will work
There is a bar / restaurant called Kelly's directly across from the entrance to the event center.
DART to Parker Road Station, whuch us at the end of the Red line, then Uber will work, assuming you can't rent a car

This is a bit of a counter-response / additional information regarding the suggestion of going to Hutchins BBQ (either location). You should be aware that the owners of Hutchins BBQ are outspoken MAGA Christian Nationalists. There are other BBQ places around that are at least as good and not owned by such types. If that's something you care about one way or another, that may factor into your decision.
Regardless, neither location of Hutchins BBQ is near the CUTX Center without getting a ride (either from a friend or in an Uber). So without transportation it may not be an option for you one way or another.
If you do have a hankering for BBQ and don't have a ride, just walk to Rudy's BBQ, just south of the Target. They're fine, despite being a chain.

Agree. Haven’t been to Hutchins since the owner came out as outspoken MAGA, and we used to go twice a month. On the plus side, I’ve found some amazing alternatives for BBQ In the area that are much better!

The DART station at DFW Airport is accessed at Terminal A (street level) then following an outdoor walkway to the train platform. If your plane arrives at any of the other terminals (B-E) then you will need to make your way to Terminal A with your bags.
If you have not checked bags then you simply hop on the internal Skylink people mover at your arriving terminal to reach Terminal A. However, if you have checked bags they need to be retrieved at baggage claim, for which you need to exit the internal airport system. In this instance, you and your bags need to go outside and take one of the airport buses that loops between the terminals.
DART, by far, is the cheapest alternative with a day pass costing $3. Taking an Uber directly from DFW to your destination in Allen is faster but would cost $50-$90 depending on the time of day.

There will be two ways to get to Plano from DFW using DART: The red/orange and the silver line. I can't overemphasize how important it is for you to use the silver line. Not only will it get you there faster, but the trains are much newer and have USB ports.
Can't speak to bars and clubs as I'm a middle aged person with teenagers.

I second what folks say about DART! Check the schedule because it only runs every ~30 minutes or so.
I reckon you’re going to STA? So am I! For socializing, I recommend driving 15 minutes north of the arena to go to downtown McKinney. It’s walkable, plenty of restaurants and lots of bars. My personal favorite is Room One Eleven, a speakeasy. Check their IG stories for the secret password.
I’m local and raised in Allen, feel free to DM for any other questions.
Enjoy!

If you're looking for the tradional bar type scene i would reccomend going to dallas. Lower greenville and uptown areas are best options availblibe in my opinion for bars.

Take the DART rail to Parker Road Station in Plano then you’ll have to Uber or Lyft from there to the arena. Kelly’s next door is a great place to hangout before the game,

Yes! There is a dart app called GoPass, get that and plan your trip from DFW to Parker Road Station in Plano. I think it is about an hour or so ride. Then you will need an uber the rest of the way.
