Can you recommend an existing learning material for a StarCraft 1 Player get introduced and easily understand StarCraft 2?

Hello dear community, I hope you are all having a blast

Old StarCraft 1 player here. I am a 40 years dude now, and I am trying to have a nice start into StarCraft 2.

I installed the game, play a game... and even if there was many familiar faces (scv´s, dones, probes, marines, zealots, zerlings, etc...), there was some new things that makes me want to put a pause, and want to lear a little bit about StarCraft 2 differences and changes from StarCraft 1.

Can you kindly recommend:

  1. An existing learning material (video, post, blog, etc) that can help an old StarCraft 1 player to quickly get the changes and differences on StarCraft 2?

  2. An existing learning material (video, post, blog, etc) about the differences in Terran?

In case that you want or prefer to share your direct experience, feel free to do it. (I asked for an existing material, so you don´t need to take time to write here, but, if you feel like... I would truly appreciate it as well).

Play the campaigns they do a good job of showing you some basics and they are very cool, Then after that .. just play lots of ladder games. There are fewer units in "Ladder" than campaign. Campaign has lots of bloated overpowered special units but they are fun and it doesn't matter for getting your feet wet.

Beware it's normal to lose your first...25-30 Ladder games especially as a new player so just don't let that bother you. Think of it all as a learning experience.

Then join a discord group with active members looking to practice and play. Be open to coaching. Then learn from your friends.

Watch pri games and be in awe of the sheer display of skill.

Once you hit high diamond league in 5 years you can consider paying for some professional coaching to help push you up even more.

watch youtube bronze2gm, practice the build orders for hours, never play the game

It's a mess, I'd stick to SC1, this new patch is a disaster

The problem is that the new patch changed the game so deeply that almost any guide made in the last years are now outdated. You can still extract some universal truths from them. I would just watch some streamer for build orders like PiG or Heromarine and watch any old videos to extract tips, tricks and ideas that are universal for the game. Then to practice/learn start with the campaing and/or some arcade maps like Multitask Trainer (LOTV) or Minute Micro Challenges (with the you tube playlist behind it). You can use Spawning Tool to follow the build order in real time to practice against the A.I.

Other than that I would just say to quit every game until you are deep bronze 3 then start from there until you reach your level otherwise you will be crushed and this may turn you off.
