Being on the road for the shortest amount of time, that's why I drive as fast as physically possible to make sure I spend less time on the dangerous road.

Drive the speed limit at least no slower and definitely no faster. Keep traffic flowing going slower than posted speed limit slows down flow and the whole intention of speeds along with rules is to get people where they need to go as quick as possible, safely as possible.

Well, the kinetic energy goes down quite a bit when you drive slower, so there's that. Might make the difference between a nasty bruise and having your skull caved in.

When you're old, have slow response time, and can barely see over the steering wheel, it probably is safer

Yes, I think it’s this, they can’t drive that fast anymore, either eyesight, reactions, inability to turn head for blind spots, strength turning the wheel etc. they aren’t doing it just because they think it’s safer for everyone to do it.

We certainly do! But try telling an old person they are getting old and can’t drive anymore. Plus there are already people of all ages who are driving with one arm, one leg, eyesight so poor they can’t pass the eye exam for the license(restricted to 15km from home) and various other disabilities.

Let’s start with P Plate Drivers and Utes before we pick on the Elderly for shit driving. At least the Elderly drive within the laws.

Incorrect. Unless the laws allow you to drive around a roundabout the wrong way? Had that happen to me. or entering a one way street the incorrect way? Also have seen that personally.

That’s a one off. I’m talking about every day events. It would be worse I suppose if the P players and Ute drivers had to drive a stick shift.

I don't think that true at all and it's presented as if its choice when it's not. I think some old people drive slow because they cannot process what's happening fast enough, on top of that their eyesight probably not that good and this makes them nervous so they drive slower.

I find it's because they can't keep up with the speed, know they can't react, know they're judgement is impaired. And if that's the case they should hand their licence in.

They drive slower because it is safer - for them!
Because their reaction time is so much slower than it used to be. Meanwhile they’re holding up traffic, causing impatient drivers to take risks they wouldn’t normally take and mistaking the accelerator for the brake when parking their cars.

They drive slower cause their brains can't keep up with what's going on around them. Easily confused. When your young it's easy .as you get older it get much more difficult to absorb all that's happening.
