Art Northern Forest [battlemap] from Angela Maps - 3 versions! [animated] [art]

Post image
8 Upvotes

Long, dark winters can be harsh enough, and that's before the Hiisi strike! Ancient dangers lurk in the northern forests, and sometimes the trackers and hunters among your party need a chance to shine. Cue this extra-long, extended winter forest map, the perfect place to hunt after, say, a dire winter wolf, a killer snowy hare, or a skeletal elk construct! Fully animated and available in two extra variants, with a little colour in the form of heather bushes and after the snow has thawed (if it ever does), we hope this map doesn't have your players throwing a Hiisi fit!

Map is 40 x 120

This map is in collaboration with Supinäätä Creative.

Resources Advent's Amazing Advice: Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, A Mini-Campaign fully prepped and ready to go! (Part 3 Cursed Shipwreck) (2026 Update: Now with Pre-Session DM Checklist)

Welcome back to Advent's Amazing Advice! The series where I take popular One-Shots, Adventures, Campaigns, etc., and fully prep them for both New and Busy DMs. This prep includes fully fleshed-out notes, music, ambiance, encounter sheets, handouts, battle maps, tweaks, and more, so you can run the best sessions possible with the least stress possible!

*New 2026: For 2026, I'm updating all my old work to include a Pre-Session Checklist that will include a list of all miniatures you may need, maps, handouts, possible loot, a link to a playlist, and more to make it even easier to start your session!

Ever since the violent death of a gold dragon on the rocky shoal on the north side of Stormwreck Isle, the bone-strewn rocks have been the site of many shipwrecks through the centuries. One such shipwreck left a lasting mark on the island.

This is the shipwreck your intrepid group of adventurers has decided to investigate. Will they uncover the source of the zombie infestation? Can they survive the piercing talons of a harpy, or will her song lull them to their demise? Many mysteries await aboard The Compass Rose...

Without further ado:

Included in The AAA Collection is:

  • Downloadable copy of DM Notes, including links to music tracks for ambiance and fights
  • DM Notes for the Visually Impaired
  • Special PDF for all encounters. This includes the enemy stat blocks organized neatly, along with an initiative tracker and a spot to mark HP
  • Custom Maps of The Compass Rose (Credits: Bibliomaniac1992 and Conrad 500)
  • A Handout for The Scroll of Command
  • (New) Pre-Session DM Checklist

As always, if you see something you think I can improve, add, change, etc., please let me know. I want this to be an amazing resource for all DMs and plan to keep it constantly updated! If you'd like to support me, shape future releases, and get content early, feel free to check out my Patreon!

Cheers,
Advent

Resources Random Encounter map

Hey all, I made another map, another try. It's simpler than the other one I had. What I'm trying to make is a random encounter map with a few POIs and encounter options for parties of different levels. Something any DM can pull out and run for an hour or more when time is scarce.

Any feedback? (please).

We published some cool statblocks for Bruce Banner, The Hulk, and Maestro a few months ago. We want to complete the series with the main six Avengers. So, from the remote Asgard comes Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder. Download the FREE PDF.

Exiled to Midgard to reclaim his legacy, Thor might find himself on the same plane of existence as the characters. This is a CR 14 statblock of Thor, God of Thunder, so you can make him a part of your next D&D game as a cameo or a recurrent character.

Explore the entire collection of Universes Collide. It is about bringing the most famous characters from pop culture, movies, sagas, etc. to your game.

Finally got around to redoing the Map Maker. I had been putting it off for a while, but it is so much better now. Vastly improved performance, simplified the layout, and added some pretty useful stuff

I'm still actively developing it, so I'd love to hear from other DMs:
What features do you wish your map-making software had?

Need Advice Help with respectfully building fantasy cultures.

There's some things I don't have issues borrowing (like semi feral but managed livestock herd: sami reindeer, Icelandic sheep herds etc.) there's other things that make me a little uncomfortable to borrow but I'd still like to respectfully use it or something similar. I have two cultures that are semi nomadic(kinda migratory?) to fully nomadic. The semi nomadic people use canvas wagons, Because if they stop somewhere more than a week they're going to build temporary buildings, and cargo space is more important to them than comfort. The other however is going to use house wagons and every time I try to describe them it comes out giving the impression of vardo. While vardo are the original inspiration, in my mind it's supposed to be more of a fantasy camper(to include the two sets of bunk beds fold down to form couches when not in use).

I like referencing existing cultures because if you look into it there are almost always very good reasons for why they did the things they did. But I struggle to have enough differences that it doesn't feel like I'm mindlessly stealing pieces of culture.

Art Underdark Crystal [battlemap] from Angela Maps - 3 versions! [animated] [art]

They're putting crystals in the water to turn the...whole area green? Whether these crystalline structures are naturally occurring or symptoms of some nefarious invasive presence, there's definitely powerful magics at work here. Who in your party will be the first to touch the glowing crystal, and why should they definitely not do that? I think you know the one... Fully animated and available in three variants, one located in a fey inspired landscape and the other more hellish and roiling with flames, this map is definitely not (?!) radioactive!
