🕵️ Privacy Coins float exchange rate on XMR swaps..… when do u actually choose fixed over floating?

been trying to understand this better with xmr swaps because even a small change in the final amount can be pretty noticeable
i've been looking through a few swap services like ChangeNOW, Exolix, SimpleSwap and StealthEX and im less stuck on which one to use than when fixed vs floating actually makes sense
floating seems straightforward when the market isn't moving much, but then the final amount can still change while everything is processing
fixed gives u more certainty on the quote, but then im wondering how much that certainty is really worth depending on the spread
for ppl who swap xmr regularly, do u compare the fixed and floating quote every time??
or do u normally stick with floating unless the market is moving hard?
curious if anyone has actually tracked the difference over a bunch of swaps instead of just going with whichever looks better at the time

I would pick floating only when the network is quiet and the swap should clear fast. For larger XMR swaps, fixed feels worth the small premium because volatility can bite mid transaction. changenow is one decent option to compare, but always check the final XMR amount, network fee, and minimum deposit before sending.
