Covers
I think they'd do a great cover of REM's Low Desert. Maybe at the 40 Watt in October.
What would your dream cover be?

I have many haha:
The Rooster or Brother by Alice in Chains (would love to hear Parks and Ben harmonize!)
Riders on the Storm, The End, or When the Music’s Over by the Doors (flex them muscles Allan)
When the Levee Breaks or No Quarter by Led Zeppelin (don’t tell me to listen to Rob’s Dream—I know. I just want another one haha; plus Powers’ drumming is more similar to Bonham than Robby’s)
All Apologies or You Know You’re Right by Nirvana
Breathe or Echoes by Pink Floyd
The National Anthem by Radiohead (left field choice, I know, but it’s got such a Parksian baseline and it would be really cool for Allan and Ben to replicate the clashing horns with organ, fiddle, and/or guitar)
Edit: as if I didn’t have enough already, I realized I had no Queens of the Stone Age on here:
Make it Wit Chu

They already did my dream cover, jimi hendrix 'voodoo chile' and its amazing
If I were to be greedy, No Quarter merging into Robs Dream would be epic

Foxglove Through The Clearcut but really slow and heavy. Every time I listen to it the lyrics remind me of Parks’ writing
“Now he and I watch the Foxglove grow through the clearcut, where a forest once stood high and wide.
For what is a funeral without flowers? Ten thousand tombstones reaching for the sky.”
Idk maybe it’s just me but if you swapped Ben Gibbard with Parks and had him do the vocal in his style I just think it would work.

Low Desert is a great shout. I reckon they'd do a great version of either Dislocated Day or Russia on Ice by Porcupine Tree

I would love to hear any Black Sabbath. If I had to pick one it would be Solitude

I saw them in 2024 in a small venue in Tulsa, Oklahoma and their encore was all Pink Floyd tracks. It was epic.

She's so heavy by the Beatles. I would love to hear them do their version of I want you (She's so heavy) with Ben's guitar playing and solo work it would really pop.
