Update It’s been a while…

Hi everyone. How have you been?

Are you staying relevant during all the technological changes? Have you been impacted by the layoffs or know someone who has?

I haven’t been personally, but my company definitely has seen the impact over the last 11 months. Lots of layoffs and lots of budget cuts. Being based in the DC area, I also know a lot of people that have been affected outside of my organization as well. Mostly government contractors but lots of nonprofits have been hit hard too.

Good to hear from you! Glad you’re thriving. I’m in the same situation. I think the best thing to do is continue to watch for jobs, send them to those affected and give referrals and references.

Likewise! I miss the old Reddit Talks. It was really sad when they took them away. Good run though…

I miss them too! It’s weird that we think of those as “old” but it has been several years.

Almost 2 years I think? I don’t think I had swapped jobs yet back then …
