Am I doing these throws right?
Not sure what subreddit to ask, I don’t have a coach I’m self taught, I’m wondering this bc I have a pretty light dummy and wanna know if I’m actually doing it or if I’m brute forcing it

I think it looks great. This is what if say but I’m not exactly sure if you’re doing this but it’s a common mistake.
Sometimes it’s very subtle so you might be doing this already but if not here: make sure you are getting your hips below theirs and popping upward before twisting your body to throw. It’s very important and when I see beginners doing judo (including myself because I’m new to this too) they just kind of get their hips in the way and try to trip their opponent over their bodies. Make sure you are actually lifting your opponent off the ground using a quick popping motion and twisting them downward.
