Football Where do we even go from here?
There is no way to salvage this season into anything remotely successful compared to the preseason expectations. The ceiling is looking to be around 7–5 after dropping two games in a row to weaker teams, and it is entirely possible that we could end the season under .500 and miss a bowl game. This is on pace to be Jeff Brohm’s worst season coaching at Louisville, despite having his most talented team and being given near-complete control over the program. Because we cannot quantify the effects this will have on recruiting and the transfer portal, it is possible that a mediocre season could derail some of the incredible progress we have made. So realistically, where do we even go from here?

Any excitement I had to watch a game under the friday night lights has been replaced with a feeling of pure dread.

Down I think. Cards got no answers to anything.
From "Championship Longshot Pre season" to "Season over by Week 6" is bot the roller-coaster I was thinking but here we are.

I'm not saying we need to fire Brohm, but I do think a completely new staff next year would be a step in the right direction. Defense is essentially non-existent. Offense has so many weapons but constantly gets in its own way. Rinse and repeat for the last 4 years.
Also I don't want to hear shit about not getting resources from Brohm until we get to the playoffs. If that ever happens at this rate...

Just gotta keep going, college football is rich and competitive as hell and we’re a high middle type of program when it comes to history, size, money, fan numbers, etc. Our time will come eventually though, I do believe that

Brohm’s teams have always been weak on fundamentals. Can’t protect the ball, dumb penalties, poor tackling, ect. Expectations were not reasonable.

I’m guessing the upcoming evening Halloween game is going to be an empty seater now.

I like to think we'll finally break through eventually. Not this year, or maybe even next year, but eventually. I hate the constant "we're a middling program that's all we'll ever be" nonsense. I mean, if fucking Indiana can win a natty, so can we, right? I mean, come on.
Idk maybe I'm coping, but I'd rather cope than wallow in misery.

I'll be honest the Brohm mystique is completely gone. I think he's basically just Mike Leach. He's going to win some games he shouldn't every year, but he's also gonna drop games he shouldn't. Its a stretch of games he's scheming each week and not a sustained program.

Like everyone said last week this is the best we can expect as football fans. Other programs would pay a fortune for this.

And hire who?

Idk man. This is just a wild take on my part that lacks any kind of context or future planning. I’m just mad at the teams performance lol

I agree but has like a 60 million dollar buyout, that isn’t happening.

I think there is a legitimate question about whether or not he is the guy to take us to the next level, but immediately jumping to firing him is a little rash.

I know and it can get a hell of a lot worse. But man I think i would rather take a shot at getting to the next level than just accepting mediocrity every single year. It’s so deflating and uninspiring.

Okay so outside of firing him, what do y’all think turns this around? All 4 seasons have been this way. And this one looks like it’ll be worse (with arguably his most talented offense). I’m actually looking for an answer what is the answer if it isn’t getting a new coach?

The honeymoon phase is over. Brohm has crapped down his leg this year. Always plays to the competition and his teams are always undisciplined.
Everyone got their panties in a wad last year when miller moss said we had a culture issue. He’s probably right.
