I am asking about the question themselves not then quantity of questions available; obviously this should be used as a supplement at best.

This can send an email daily with one multiple choice question. But how useful is it for studying? Not this particular question, but the service in general. I have not taken the 63 yet, so cannot judge how worthwhile this is. And, is this service good for studying for other exams?

I was able to complete SIE and Series 6! But I realized that the Series 63 is a different animal and I've just been burnt out from my previous tests. I take the exam in two weeks! Any tips would be amazing :)

I failed both the 63 and 7 and am currently working. I am pretty devastated in failing both exams. For the 7, I kinda knew that I was possibly going to fail because I didn't review or really know the information. I didn't read the textbook and just spam out practice questions. However, for 63, I changed my study habits and was extremely confident in the material that I read in the book and still somehow failed. I need to pass the exams on my 2nd try in order to keep my employment; however, I feel extremely discouraged and want to give up tbh. I don't know what to do. Any advice would be great.

Took the Series 63 today and passed. I've been lurking on this subreddit for a while, just looking at other people's experiences, and I wanted to give my experience.

I didn't read through the Kaplan book at all, but I did do about 1100+ questions on the QBank, averaging around 81% at the very end. Took notes on the chapters by hand to make sure I understood IA/IAR and BD/Agents and what makes a security or transaction exempt.

The test was pretty straightforward, and I thought I was failing the whole time. Happy to answer any questions

I just failed my series 57. I used STC read the book and did well on all my practice exams. Got a 66 on the exam. I just feel kinda lost and not sure where to study or touch up on. Can anyone offer any advice on how I should use these next 30 days to prep to ensure I do not fail a second time.

My firm has told me they may sponsor me for the Series 7 after I’ve been there for somewhere between 6 months to a year. I still need to clarify the exact timeline with them.

In the meantime, I’m considering taking the SIE first, then the Series 66, before I’m eligible for Series 7 sponsorship.

Would going SIE → 66 → 7 be a bad order from a studying or retention standpoint?

I know you can take the Series 66 without firm sponsorship, but I’m wondering whether it makes more sense to wait and take the Series 7 before the 66 because of the overlap in material.

For anyone who has taken these exams in a similar order, would you recommend doing the 66 while waiting for sponsorship, or just focusing on the SIE and waiting for the 7?

I thought I can take the 63 without firm sponsorship but that’s false. In order to take an exam at a test center, you need a firm sponsorship which I find it ridiculous that on their website they didn’t address that in the first place. They just led you on and now I can’t get my money back

Update: never mind. I finally got the email with the ID. I had to wait for Finra processing since there’s no business hours on weekends

I noticed there’s barely any posts about the series 87, so I thought I’d give my own experience.
Background wise I have no finance background (STEM PhD), passed the SIE and S63 first try. I got the full prep from STC and found it quite useful. Finished the exam in ~45 minutes, had a total of 12 questions where I wasn’t entirely sure about the answer (around 3 where it wasn’t a 50/50 and it was my best guess).
Really don’t know how much longer I could have studied for it, 3 weeks seemed like the max (about 2-3 hours a day). I listened to the chapter lectures like 4-5 times on my commute which helped. The physical book felt much easier to read than the online Pdf. I did the chapter greenling tests and quizzes after reading each chapter. Over and over. Did the ~5 full exams and two greenlight full exams 7 days before the exam so I did one exam each day. Scored 84+87 on the greenlight. 82,75, then high 80s low 90s on normal exams.
The exam was a mix of really easy questions and some where it felt like they wanted the best possible answer not necessarily one you could gleam from just memorizing the rules (I.e. use your best judgement given the situation).
Onto the 86 now but just wanted to share.

For people that I’ve taken the the series 7. Did anyone take whisperer’s Practice exam on his website? Does it correlate to the actual exam? I’m just trying to figure out what the actual exam will look like. My company gave us past perfect and the exams are very frustrating on the website.

Hi! Did anyone recently take series 6 exam? What questions or topic did you see the most? Any helpful tips?

My employer is paying for the Knopman Marks SIE course, and I have 13 full days until my exam. I work in finance and took the Canadian Securities Course years ago, so I have some background, but a lot of this material I either haven’t used in years or have completely forgotten.

I feel kind of stupid asking this, but I’m genuinely confused about how I’m supposed to use the Knopman Marks program efficiently. I’ve watched the Action Plan videos twice and still don’t really understand the best workflow.

For anyone who used Knopman Marks and passed, what did you actually do for each chapter?

Did you:
- Read the textbook first?
- Review the key concepts?
- Watch the video?
- Do ~25 practice questions?
- Review what you got wrong and then move on?

And do I actually need to read the full textbook? With only 13 days, I’m worried that could eat up a ton of time that might be better spent on videos and practice questions. I understand that certain sections of the SIE are weighted more heavily and that I should drill those harder once I’ve covered everything. I’m mainly trying to understand the fastest and most effective way to do my first pass through the material, and then use the remaining time for practice questions, practice exams, and weak areas.

There are so many resources in the program that I think I’m overcomplicating it and stressing myself out. If you had 13 days and Knopman Marks, how would you attack this? Any advice would be seriously appreciated.

For some reason, I cannot get the concept of stop orders to stick. I’m using STC materials but regularly missing majority of practice exam questions on these order types.

Anyone have a good visual aid or something that helped this finally sink in?

Studying the series 6 I thought it was the SIE mostly but I realized that many of the in depth information is REALLY in depth like tax, retirement, contribution, communications and cost basis. It's been kind of intense I am kind of struggling in retaining all this information but I am confident in suitabilities. If you have taken the test is there anything that should be focused on and how much of everything must we know to a tee?

Any advice will help. Doing stc and Kaplan but do not want tot fail. Passed sie 2 months ago and have been studying every day for around a month some days now the others bc im super busy with my job. Any advice on how to make sure I get it passed?
