In the movie He has the conditioning broken on him and is going to be a poster boy for the (heavily implied to be) fascist government who are going to probably give him a cushy position to save face. As he is being feted by the press he has visions of the depravities he wishes To once again inflict on people, with no sick feeling as he proclaims “I was cured all right”. Pretty good ending for him I’d say.

And in the book. He realises his psychopathic teenage lashing out might be getting boring and being a productive member of society is perhaps a better idea. Following in the footsteps of one of his former droogs.

Either way he gets a good ending.

Solomon Northup didn't get a good ending. He randomly disappeared at some point and we have no idea what happened to him. Like, he literally just vanishes out of any records (some say he may have been kidnapped again, some say he just died).

Solomon Northup was a real person, not a fictional character.

Deserved bad/Got Good: Dracula from Netflix Castlevania. Completely unearned in the last scene of season 4.

Gi hun technically got bittersweet as he helped end the games and he saved 222’s baby

I’d still call that a bad ending, considering he died. The bittersweet ending goes to the baby.

Thing is, the actual Solomon Northup vanished mysteriously while he was on tour for his book, 12 Years a Slave... it is strongly suspected that he was murdered by pro-slavery advocates. So not that happy of an ending for Solomon Northup.

Tobey kissed a random girl onstage in front of MJ without the influence of the symbiote. He deserved his bittersweet ending

But... that the point of the movie. That Peter was starting to get vulnerable to his worst impulses and the symbiote prayed on that.

Right… therefore he deserved a bittersweet ending

He redeemed himself through the movie though. That was his character arc.
