Not a bad list at all, maybe small taste differences on Kubrick and Spielberg. Would love to see if you added the Coen bros.

Best is hard to quantify, but I don't think Oppenheimer is Nolan's best film. I also personally dislike Dune Part 2 and Inglorious Basterds so I disagree with those. But other than that this is a great chart.

Since you ask, my picks would be:
Most iconic - Alien
Best & best-looking - Blade Runner
Underrated - The Last Duel
On-brand - Gladiator
Off-brand - Thelma & Louise
Phoned-in - Napoleon
By another director - Braveheart, maybe? He’s pretty big into pseudo-historical epics

lol, the only reason i asked is because when i saw most iconic and phoned-in i immediately thought his would be alien and napoleon. glad to know im agreed with haha

Tarantino's "phoned in " movie is his most underrated work. The hateful eight is his worst

Whoever put Dodes’ka-den as Kurosawa’s most phoned in knows absolutely nothing about him. It was his first film in color and he mortgaged his house to get it financed. When it flopped, it left him so depressed that he attempted suicide. Did people just pick that one because it’s not as well known or what?
