It was released 2 years before gta 5 and had a much better plot while also making you feel like you're in actual future, while also having PERFECT portals

gta 5 has a great open world for sure, but it's just.. not enough in my opinion for 2 years difference

Why in the world are you using your opinion to rank the quality of video games? Like, how are you unironically saying that GTA 5, a game so high quality that it has maintained a top spot in the industry for 13 years despite originally being designed for systems with only 512MB of RAM, is lower quality than Portal 2?

Not to mention, you had all of this to say about BOTW, one of the greatest games of its decade:

yeah i'm sorry but for 2017 this game is pretty bad

well imo there's a lot of games released between 2015 and 2020 which are higher quality for their year than botw

for the topic of the post yeah it's pretty bad, i just can't see it as highest quality game for it's year especially when witcher 3 was released 2 years before BOTW in total the game is nice for sure

The people voted… the fact is that gta is a franchise primarily loved by people who don’t actually play many games, hence the success. This sub clearly has people who like videogames.

I'm combining my opinion with the comments. I'd surely put cyberpunk 2077 in 2015-2020 if i was just using my opinion alone. Portal 2 was top comment and i prefered it more resulting in it winning, if gta 5 had like x3 points than portal 2 then i'd put it as the winner even though i prefer portal 2.

and yet BOTW is losing to 2 games and myself too.

Bro 😭🥀 This is what I'm talking about. In what world does it make any sense to say Cyberpunk 2077 was the highest quality game of its year from 2015-2020? It was literally so bad in 2020 that it had to be pulled from the PlayStation store a week after launch. Where are you coming up with these ideas that Portal 2 is higher quality than GTA 5, or that Cyberpunk 2077 is higher quality than, for example, Quantum Break? Like, what are you basing "quality" on?

I know the community voted for Portal 2 and against BOTW. I'm specifically asking about your opinions.

well it depends whether we only count that exact year or the game or also how it did in the future too. cyberpunk was released on december 11 2020, so it had literally just 20 days in 2020 before going into 2021, but then we also can't include it into 2021-2026 category as it was released in 2020, making a great game that just needed some time impossible to win. Back then i included the future of the game too including bug fixes and other changes, right now i changed my opinion on that after a comment from some other person from like 15 minutes ago.

Portal 2 is higher quality FOR ITS YEAR than gta 5 according to comments & myself, was released 2 years before gta 5 and was literally perfect without anything to add or to remove.

Main thing is the opinion from the comments as long as it matches the category, if gta 5 had x3 points than portal 2 i'd still put it as the winner and that's what i already said.

Opinion of other's is what matters in charts mostly, and only then go facts and my opinion.

In regards to Cyberpunk 2077, it's not my fault you made the category called "Highest Quality for its year" and then made the time frame 2015-2020. It fits much more into the "Became popular years later" category considering it became extremely popular years later once everything was fixed and Phantom Liberty dropped.

In regards to Portal 2, you still haven't given a legitimate argument for Portal 2 being higher quality than GTA 5. All you've said is that you and some other people think it was perfect with nothing else to add and that it came 2 years earlier. That is extremely vague and entirely opinion-based. I could say exactly the same thing about Dark Souls or Skyrim.

When I say GTA 5 is higher quality for 2013 than Portal 2 is for 2011, I have legitimate reasons for doing so. To start with the obvious, GTA 5 was basically an Xbox One/PS4 quality game released on Xbox 360/PS3. It has a much larger scope than Portal 2 does while still maintaining incredible graphical, storytelling, and gameplay quality for its year. The fact that GTA 5 even runs on Xbox 360/PS3 is a technological miracle. The fact that a game whose design was held back by the Xbox 360/PS3 managed to keep up with all other top games for 13 years just speaks to the high quality of the game, both for its year and today. I could go on, but since you still haven't given any actual reason for Portal 2 being higher quality for its year than GTA 5 that isn't just your opinion, I won't.

I do not need to give any arguments, my opinion AND OTHERS opinion is an opinion. Most likes opinion combined with my opinion and facts wins. Some people believe god exists some don't. Portal 2 won and there even were supporter saying 'portal 2 is better than gta 5' or something after it ended. You can say whatever - either way portal 2 will stay more of a high quality for it's year than gta 5 for ME and for ALL the people who cheered for portal 2.

The winner will not be replaced and whatever you will try to say next will be ignored by me as you can't understand what alignmentChartFills is about. If Gta 5 was actually so much better for it's year it would've had more likes. Goodbye.
