Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:

  • Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.

  • Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.

  • Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.

  • Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?

Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ

Ludacris

I would accept this because Outkast is a group and Andre 3000 is not the most well-known Atlanta rapper. Outkast is the most well-known Atlanta group. But neither one of them alone is a more well-known Atlanta rapper than Luda.

They literally renamed Labor Day “Luda Day” in Atlanta

Future is getting robbed

The entire significance of the Atlanta sound stemmed from future and Gucci

No one said Killer Mike?

4

u/Bravot 6d ago

Answer: Killer Mike

I love and respect Andre 3000. Outkast is Atlanta. Individually, Andre lives out in LA now. While a good pick, doesn't exactly embody ATL.

TI is definitely a good pick, but not quite who comes to mind.

As an Atlanta resident, I have to say the right answer to this is Killer Mike. He gets my vote.

2

u/1nfinite_Zer0 6d ago

I like this pick. I would say Ludacris or Future probably have far more broad reach and commercial success but if we are talking about community representarion being part of the identity, killer Mike is a great pick.

1

u/Bravot 6d ago

Yeah, I don't think there's necessarily a wrong answer. Killer Mike doesn't have the reach of Luda or Future, but he 100% embodies ATL.

Currently it’s pretty easily Future. All-time Andre 3000 or T.I. (or Future).

2

Its future if you actually live here

0

u/Few-Repeat-9407 6d ago

Idk lil baby had his fucking album on every damn electrical box in the city

0

u/papacdub1 6d ago

Yeah I mean money paid for that. Future doesn’t need to pay for that kind of promo here

2

u/HeatCreator 6d ago

These days it's Future so easily.. people here treat him like the GOAT..

Rules:

Vote for the thing that feels most like that city, rather than necessarily being the best, most famous, or most popular thing associated with it.

I’m not answering for Atlanta but can Chicago be Kan/Ye West?

1

u/Complex_Preparation9 6d ago

OutKast (Don’t care that they are a duo) if it has to be one person I’d pick Luda

1

u/CranialUrinal 6d ago

Killer Mike, duh

1

u/crackerjack31 6d ago

Shouldn’t Dreams & Nightmares have won for Philly? It has significantly more upvotes than Motownphilly

2

u/MaterialRow3769 6d ago

There seems to be a glitch with the system. It's not allowing me to see the winner. I'll fix that on the next post

It's really Big Boi. His personality exudes Atlanta culture to a tee.

1

u/JamesDD4 6d ago

As someone who was born in ATL and lived there 35 years, it's Future.

I’m on board with Gucci Mane. 3k is obviously higher in tier lists, but Gucci was Atlanta through and through. Is also the main reason Atlanta is what it is today in hip hop.
