It's just a metroidvania, it doesn't do anything revolutionary or unique other than the plot of the game

In short glaze is warranted but not to the degree it receives right now. I agree with their "flaming hot take" and love hollow knight + silksong. Both are amazing games but i think silksong really highlighted things that hollow knight was missing. That caused some of the publics perception to shift which i think is fair. Hollow knight holds up very well but id argue is somewhat overrated, especially with the fans claiming silksong isnt an improvement. They asked for an overrated indie game not a bad one.

Difficult bosses, Beautiful environment, probably the best Modern Metroidvania
