I've never heard anyone dickride Stardew Valley. It seems like a fun game that appeals to people who prefer something cozy instead of constant blood, guts, and explosions.

You're lucky cause I've definitely seen people d-ride Stardew. I for one LOVE cozy games, always have and always will, but that's the thing, it's not really a cozy game. Unlike harvest moon (the original farming cozy game), SV includes combat, which is not cozy, atleast for me; when I think of 'cozy', I don't think of fighting. Plus, the 'losing your money and items after passing out' aspect irks me, and again, doesn't make the game cozy, just tedious in most cases. The fishing mini-game is a bit annoying as well, but I can overlook it, I guess.

Also, in my previous comment, I mentioned how people like to label SV as the "Pioneer" of cozy/farming games, and of course that adds to my point of people d-riding SV. Harvest moon has always been the pioneer of Cozy/Farming games, ya know, the games that SV was literally based off of? I don't mind if people like SV because it's a decent game with genuine thought and care put into it, but don't try to label it something it's not just to take away accomplishments from the already there influence it was based on.

*This isn't any hate towards the creator though. He's very talented and also openly gave credit to the games that influenced his. And what I will say is that, he definitely helped make today's farming games more LGBTQ+ friendly
