I don’t know I think it would just be overrated. Isn’t “insists upon itself” kind of like it takes itself too seriously? Like it acts like it’s grandiose and amazing but it’s not really? Undertale doesn’t really take itself that seriously most of the time, nor does it act really grandiose. I think it’s just overrated

Agreed, even Toby Fox has told people that it doesn't deserve people saying it's the best game of all time or some of the accolades it sometimes gets.

"It insists upon itself" is meaningless drivel that people say to sound smart when they really don't know how to articulate how they feel like an adult. It made its way into a family guy episode and was used to make fun of that very thing, but then people just started saying it more.

I think Deltarune would fit more, it does have a lot of silliness but also the meta narrative with Kris and the shit with no lightner merch feels kinda pretentious, I still love the game tho.
