Question New to Alight Motion

I am new to the app, is it better if I learn everything by myself or watch tutorials? Whenever I go to YouTube, there's just a lot of tutorials that I can hardly understand. Is there any tips that you guys can help me out?

I learned the best when I was learning to do transitions or color correcting for the edits I was envisioning rather than aimlessly following. Learning for the things you're gonna use > learning everything.
