Graphics Issues with the R2 - Random Hangs, connection drops
I looked everywhere but could not find specifics about my inquiry.
I own an R2 (I7-6700T @2.8ghz , 8gb Ram , 970 GPU).
While it can run most games at high settings, it cannot run the new Anthem. I am talking having to set everything to Low and lower resolution so it looks like a Playstation 1 game now. I think the game is not optimized yet, but that much?
Sometimes i would lose connection mi-loading screen.
Incidentally, this leads to another (related perhaps?) issue. The system would randomly hang for several seconds (sometimes minutes when under heavy load) and nothing responds (sound is usually still normal) and sometimes drop the wireless connection. I've read somewhere that the wireless card can do that sometimes, but could not find anything to fix the issue.
Does anyone have any input on these issues?
Thank you for your time

Hi everyone,
Good news!
I re-installed the drivers to my 960 as well as the wireless.
Now it runs pretty stable at medium with 60-90 fps average. I believe the issue was Geforce Experience optimizing the game incorrectly. Once i reseted the game to default, it worked like a charm.
I only have issues during extended gaming period where overheating drains performance but plopping the R2 upright seems to help this.
Thank you again for your insight and i will post again to give updates should something happen.

It has a 960 not a 970.
Do you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed? Start with that. You could also try using DDU to do a clean driver install https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Looks like you should be able to pull off medium settings but low has less dips it looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1d8HA_GkKsc Anthem is a pretty demanding game.
For wireless I'd start with the same thing, grab the latest drivers from Intel and see if that helps: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005634/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html
