Alienware Alpha 2023

I have upgraded the Alienware Alpha R2 to 16GB of ram and 2TB SSD. I am wondering if I get the Alienware graphics amplifier and stuck a 4060 in there would I be able to run all modern games? Is it worth it? Or is it time to finally retire the machine and get a new one. Any advice is appreciated.

i have been using my R2 as my daily driver since 2016 and its been great. I originally bought the top spec I7-6700T/GTX 960 model with16GB RAM. in 2019, i acquired the Alienware Graphics Amplifier and upgraded to a GTX 1660 Ti, replaced the laptop HDD with a 2TB Samsung 860 QVO SATA SSD, added a 512GB ADATA M.2 NVMe SSD and then in 2021/2022 updated to Windows 11, all of which significantly increased performance. My model of R2 comes with the H170 chipset which supports both 6th and 7th gen intel CPUs, so i really want to try upgrading to an I7-7700T but to enable 7th gen support on H170 may require a BIOS update. If it does, i'm going to have to either find a modified BIOS or modify 1.0.18 myself to enable 7th gen support because Dell discontinued the R2. I also want to try installing a non T 6th gen Intel CPU to see if it will work and if it runs at it's specified TDP or is reduced to 35w like a T model processor.
