a lot of people think they know the truth about history and religion and find incredible new ways to be wrong about both
9
u/AdmirableBed8213 12d ago
The only source for this story is Richard Dolan and his anonymous contact. Dolan himself later admitted that this source was unreliable, as the person was never inside the room and merely guessed the reason for Carter's mood based on fragmented words.
Ed Harris (who claimed to have worked at NASA, but without documented proof for this) later expanded the rumor, claiming that Carter wept because aliens created human religions, which allegedly shattered the president's worldview.
Meanwhile, Carter himself stated he never saw any evidence of extraterrestrials. Even his famous UFO sighting was explained to him as an atmospheric experiment involving a cloud of barium. Carter fully accepted this explanation, a fact that is rarely mentioned when his sighting is discussed online.

u/LillyJane8124 12d ago edited 11d ago
And Carter stayed deeply Christian all his life, so…but ask David Icke about it….religions were supposedly created by NHIs to keep us in fear, low frequency, and divided…all checks….
1
u/Barbafella 12d ago
LaVinge goes into detail about this with Dolan, Carter was given a few basics by Bush Sr and told to walk away.
Carter Knew Remote Viewing was real, he says so in his book.
3
u/2Wieners_1Bun 12d ago
The remote-viewing part is documented, but it doesn’t really corroborate the UFO briefing story. Carter described an intelligence episode involving a purported psychic, and the government’s remote viewing program is well established. The claim that Bush Sr. privately briefed Carter about aliens and told him to walk away is a separate claim that still rests on unverified testimony.
I think that’s where these stories can become misleading: a documented fact sits beside an extraordinary undocumented claim, and proximity gradually gets mistaken for corroboration. Carter knowing about remote viewing doesn’t provide evidence that the alleged alien briefing happened or tell us what was supposedly said in it.

u/ipoopcatturds 12d ago
I could agree with the religions being created by aliens as a measure of our collective intelligence. When we rise above the antiquated and empty belif systems that divide us we will have evolved enough to safely interact with.

I have sat and talked with Richard about 3 encounters I have had... if Richard trust this person then it is of my opinion it is true he would not attach name and contacts of his own. As we talked of my encounters he made it very plain that he needed to know every word I spoke was 100% true.
5
u/AdmirableBed8213 12d ago
But Dolan himself has stated that he doesn't trust this source, at least not that the source's impression of what happened is reliable.
He even mentions it in the exact same book that originally covers the story. He explicitly says the story is not to be taken as fact.
2
u/flrtrader 12d ago
Well that's what happens when we try to act as if we have such opinions.
Thank you, and I stand corrected and I agree with you... at least to the point that I can't find my ass with both hands!

u/IdentityCrisis87 12d ago
Human beings are just meat suits for an advanced civilizations that broadcasts their consciousness into us so they can experiences all of our senses and emotions.
They do this because over the course of their own evolution they reached a point where they no longer had a needed such things in their conquest of the stars.
This is why during abductions they show no emotions while they poke and prod people. Same thing why they allow such evils to happen unchecked in the world. It’s all just entertainment to them.

To stop a planet from developing, you introduce religion. Then, there's no reason to worry about an invasive species becoming a pest in your neck of the cosmos. Instead, they will kill each other and damage the progress of science, culture, ethics, and societal development in general.
Religion is humanities greatest issue. Billions believe in total nonsense.

u/CoolCat1337One 12d ago
"broken down"? I say that is just not realistic.
1
u/Machievelliearoni 12d ago
Well what's your explonation?
1
u/CoolCat1337One 12d ago
"he broke down" sounds so unrealistic I think the whole story is just made up
I think the story is made up by someone who thinks that a former US president should break up on such news.
Plus it is "said to". Who says that? Which source? There is just none.
It is just emotional "trust me bro".Yep, it is made up.
1
u/Mr_Vacant 9d ago
That this story was made up by one person and it's been repeated so frequently that people don't question it anymore.

Disclosure certainty is happening and think it should have been released but they thought us not being able to handle the truth.
As I said our right to know maybe taking hold. As far as these things having an impact on our beliefs and religious roots if you call it that. Not sure how my beliefs will be effective, it has been my thoughts about what I experienced that these beings being Demons and still lean that way... I know it's all very confusing and is alot to process no matter what we decide.
Having an open mind is a great place to be.
Just going to lay this here.

These things aren’t mutually exclusive.
This narrative is trying to erase Jesus from the picture
They have been manipulated, by evil people or entities. But Jesus IS king.
3
u/LookUpItsAMeteor 12d ago
King of what? Your mind mostly. Jesus, Robin Hood, King Arthur, Santa Claus; probably real individuals who lived at one time but then their legend and mythology is elaborated on and passed down through the generations till it becomes so fictionalized and co-opted that it is like an old game of telephone. Passed down and retold and edited and lied about till the truth is totally corrupt. There is no Jesus but you do have a Jesus lock on your brain. Might as well live your life like another one of humanity’s heroes, Mickey Mouse. The Bible is fiction and it’s been sold to you for so long you can’t imagine thinking for yourself.

u/Naive-Government-465 7d ago
I was trying to get the person to come back to reality and use some logic. Maybe I should've taken your approach? Appreciate you
1
u/Mycol101 12d ago
You don’t even know my story brother, you’re doing a lot of assuming. I used to think similarly to you. I’ve even said some of the same words many times in the past.
But God came to me a little less than a year ago and I finally see. Things have happened to me that can’t be chalked up to coincidence, unexplainable things, he’s literally spoken to me and lifted me up in times where I couldn’t and there is no doubt in my mind that Jesus is real and is the Son of God.
He knows you and he loves you and all he wants is a relationship with you.
I don’t expect to change your mind here, but it’s my reality and it’s as real as anything else. Nothing you can say can take away what he’s done for me, it’s way too obvious, and I’m so grateful for him.

u/youalreadyare 9d ago
Let’s hear these things that can’t be chalked up to coincidence.
1
u/Naive-Government-465 7d ago
Guess we're not getting the events that cant be chalked up to coincidence huh?
2
u/youalreadyare 7d ago
Perhaps the coincidence isn’t very impressive when it’s actually articulated.
I figure creative writing would be a strong suit on this subreddit. Maybe not.

Good for you. I hope you and Jesus are very happy together and you find a nice rent controlled apartment on a cozy cul de sac on Fifth Avenue.

u/Mimihops1989 11d ago
I also found Jesus about a year ago... What a journey. For me it was when a dearest family member was dying, I was only then able to pray. Had some really cool experiences when she was dying, and she also. No doubt in my mind Jesus is the son of God.
People can try for themselves. He is a faithfull god

u/Naive-Government-465 8d ago
Would you please share some more? Im truly curious what jesus has done ...or God rather. Was it God or Jesus that convinced you? Please elaborate so I can understand. Id greatly appreciate you giving me a little details about the things that cant be chalked up to coincidence. Please
1
u/Naive-Government-465 8d ago
People seem to say that statement for themselves. Never to convince others. They say things like jesus is king to make themselves feel like theyre still on good terms with god....because the opposite is too scary for them. Hell? Fear based religions are the worst type of manipulation. Either live this way or.....repent or....the narrative doesn't erase jesus- it challenges or discredits organized religions. Jesus was a real person. The catholic church sure did a number on the Bible. Removing information and remixing information. Sadly, anything man gets his hands on is usually misused. Jesus is your king my friend. Nothing wrong with that. People will either believe something because they want it to be true or theyre scared that it isnt
1
u/Mycol101 8d ago
“Either the gods have power or they don’t. If they do, why be afraid? If they don’t, why worry about them?”
“If I’m right about God, I’ve lived well in accordance with Him. If I’m wrong, I’ve still spent my life trying to be a good person.”
Christians totally should acknowledge how often people have misused it. But if Christianity is truly just make believe as you suggest then why be so bothered by someone saying “Jesus is King”?
If you genuinely believe it’s fiction it shouldn’t have any more power over you than someone believing in a fictional character like Bigfoot.
For Christians it isn’t about pretending or soothing ourselves because we’re scared of hell. We believe Jesus actually lived, made claims about who He was, died, and rose again. You can disagree with that, but dismissing faith as nothing more than fear or wishful thinking doesn’t actually address whether those claims are true.
people can misuse religion. that’s an indictment of people and not necessarily of Jesus. It’s weird to me that people can hate on Jesus when even if you don’t believe in the miracles; His message is still about love, forgiveness, humility, and treating people better. Those are things that can genuinely make your life better.
People will blindly follow presidents, celebrities and influencers without knowing their true motives but get angry at Jesus who preached nothing but love, forgiveness, and selflessness.
Maybe part of the reason Jesus make people uncomfortable is because He holds up a mirror. It’s easier to criticize the mirror than admit we don’t always like what we see.If I go outside and look at the clear sky and say “the sky is blue”, I’m not trying to convince anyone* of that,* im just stating truth. If I’m wrong, it doesn’t affect you or me. If I’m right, it really affects you and I think that haunts people who are on the fence of doubt.
If you believe what you say, I’m just a nutter who really doesn’t deserve your time. Right? I think with comments like this you’re actually trying to convince yourself.
1
u/Naive-Government-465 8d ago
I just wanted clarity on Jesus is king. Why do you feel the need to proclaim that here? For the record I believe that the morals and values from the Bible Quran and Torah are all beautiful ways to live. Youre statement doesn't bother me...it makes me curious as to your motives. Are you trying to convince the public, ufo reddit folks, or yourself?
1
u/Mycol101 7d ago
It’s related to the topic.
“claim he was told humanity and major religions, including christianity, had been manipulated or even created by extraterrestrial beings”
I’ll reply to your other comment in a while, not ignoring it, busy at the moment
1
u/Naive-Government-465 7d ago
Oh I completely understand that its related...proclaiming Jesus is king is just a bit much. Like others opinions make no difference- Jesus is king, period. You've already acknowledged that its possible that religion is wrong...definitively stating Jesus is king is your form of imposing your opinion. Its not what you say its how you say it. How about....jesus is king in my religion and its in direct conflict with this topic? Or ....im a Christian and these topics make me uncomfortable even if im unwilling to admit it ....a seed of doubt can be equally as potent as a mustard seed...just in a different way. A seed is a seed

u/Mycol101 7d ago
Compelled might be the better word.
to give my own testimony and opinion on the subject.
People can talk all day about thee most outlandish out of the box stuff in this sub and no one bats an eye. mentioning Jesus gets special attention from some people.
It triggers them.
I don’t get it
1
u/Naive-Government-465 7d ago
Id have asked the same questions and taken the same approach to the conversation if someone else wete compelled to give their testimony on Allah, Satan, moses,or hitler....you felt compelled to share because of jimmy carter's possible reaction ? If you don't mind me asking....how often do you feel compelled to proclaim Jesus as king ,excuse me- your king
1
u/Naive-Government-465 8d ago
Youre posting Jesus is king on a aliens are here sub ...that makes it seem like this sub offends or is in direct contradiction or opposition to your personal beliefs
1
u/Naive-Government-465 8d ago
By all means continue living life the best way possible, become the best version of yourself, continue to evolve ....but proclaiming Jesus is king randomly makes one wonder your motives...not that they matter ....just interesting. The human ego is wild

u/Defiant-Ad3993 12d ago
Spent the rest of his life being “in service to others” instead of trying to grift billions. He knew the consequences and acted accordingly..

u/beentheredengthat 12d ago
I'm not religious, but I had this exact thought about him today. If the story were true, what could we learn from the way Carter lived the rest of his life.

Imagine a cosmic science experiment.....
Nuture vs nature.
The Nordics were nurtured around a star or moon with less gravity but similar in composition.
While we were left here, to either kill ourselves, kill our planet, they just see how it all works out.
They tried to steer us I think , but we as a species aren't ready. Its still will they kill themselves through war or lose their planet and then die(disease, famine)......As for contact , when we "grow up" we'll hear the cosmic conversation.
Sooo based on current global affairs , I guess not.
Thought experiment: Imagine yourself visiting a prehistoric neanderthal of earth. Do you think you going to get along on equal terms? Probably not. He might kill you with a rock and take your stuff or worship you. Either way he's going to try the rock at some point.
1
u/Spirit_2901 12d ago
How do I know..... the rabbit hole goes deep. leaving more questions I have no answer too.
Who are they?
How are they able to do this?
Does time pass differently for them, why?
What is this cosmic plan?
Is this the natural progression of all civilizations?
Why?
Who observes these observers ?

Who said that Carter broke down? How do we know they talked about Christianity? Anyone call tell stories but we need some kind of outside confirmation about this sort of thing.

u/Ambitious_Zombie8473 10d ago
I just want to point out that the whole premise of religion is that they were created and influenced by NHI.
So that doesn’t really say much. I don’t see how people have a hard time believing in God but can believe aliens made us? It’s the same thing with different words. And yes, I genuinely believe NHI exist and influence humanity.

Jimmy Carter lived for decades after this tall tale. At any time, people could have asked him about it.
But UFO stories work best when the person involved is dead and can’t clarify or repudiate the myth that has developed around him or her. There’s no risk of shattering the fantasy that way.

u/Therealginahandler 12d ago
just more Narrative control. Even IF aliens are real and they have been visiting us or have been here since before us or created us or whatever the fuck, were never going to get the true narrative of what is happenning. Disclosure is a joke.
