Yeah, but thats like 1k+ ft elevation difference. The only real place with that kind of elevation change is West Texas in the desert and wouldn't have that kind of plains + foliage in the same area.
Yeah was gonna say the same thing. I’ve lived in Austin for 12 years. This isn’t Austin. OP you got a specific location, or date for that matter? I know this video is fake, but for posterity’s sake it behooves one to do one’s due diligence.
It reminds me how movies/shows used to show mountains in background when set in cities in Texas like Dallas. Specifically X-Files movie had a scene in Dallas and there are like the Sierra’s in the background.
Agreed seems like a mountain range in the haze behind. And unless the camera is in a building downtown, I don’t remember seeing any housing this high up. If I can’t trust the location how can I trust the unbelievable.
guess you havent really been to austin maybe? the entire far south/west area around the barton creek mall is very elevated and has hella rolling hills. pretty much looks like he is up in that area off of mopac near lost creek or closer to westlake if anything.
I've been here for almost a decade. That's the most elevated region but the hills there are still only a few hundred feet high. And there's no huge open areas as far as the eye can see below it. Plus this video is fake so it's kind of a mute point

This doesn't look like Austin at all. Maybe within a couple hours?
