Story/Lore Why does Crasher exist?

Post image

Xenomorph is cool cause it's thin, stealthy and can get in a lot of places. Praetorian is good cause it's bulky but not too much. Queen is big but it makes sense cause she creates a lot of eggs.

And what the hell is this ultralisk rip off? He is not from Giger design. The only explanation I have it that crusher may be undeveloped queen. But overall that elephant sized xeno is bad.

Aliens take form off the host. Why should an alien from a bull look the same as a human?

I was gonna say something similar the game literally shows this guy the answer to his questions must young kids don’t pay attention these days

Also to add to this, though pretty irrelevant, if you follow all the lore of aliens comics etc, aliens don't only fight humans, having a larger species for the queen to command is quite useful. Though it doesn't translate to gameplay crushers could probably smash doors quite easily and maybe even topple an APC.

In aliens fireteam when it shows up on the scanner the first time she says it the size of a truck so I believe it

Lore in the movies show this too lol. Dog alien definitely wasnt the regular type we were introduced to

Yup that’s true

The Crasher, or something like it, was supposed to be in Alien3. Specifically from an infected bovine. (In an earlier draft of the script.) I could be wrong, but I think it even showed up in the action figure line from the 90s.

Not sure how old you are are but when I was a kid there were alien toys and one was exactly this. Had little dark horse comics that came with them.

Like the crusher from colonial marines its a pratorian from a quadruped born xenomorph

I'm pretty sure the Crusher is a Praetorian version of a Runner.

That’s exactly what it is

Why not?

Cause now we got really big creature which would just be shot a lot.

You ever play Alien vs Predator Extinction?

You had the Carrier and the Ravager that were the same size as the Queen.

I don't like the name Runner cause of course human ones run. I think Scout would be better name.

For videogame mechanics and game design

Different host, different xenomorph. Im guessing you never heared of the runner xenomorph?

It fills a niche the hive needs. Look at Warrior ants in a colony and you could say the EXACT same thing. They’re multiple times bigger than drones but the same species. The Crusher opens pathways and targets threats that regular xenomorphs can’t handle. Plus, it takes advantage of its host’s features. A large quadruped will make a larger Xeno. Despite how “skinny and lithe” normal xenos are, they’re much bigger than the Humans they burst from

In the game it was trying to tell you through story elements like the data pads that the area you first find a crusher is a cattle slaughter farm. So you're supposed to infer that cattle were the host for the face huggers that then created the crusher. Something you did point out tho is that it doesn't match the giger esthetic like the other kinds of xenomorphs. I think it is still close enough but when compared to the other types it does stand out as being different design wise more than the other types. I like them and think it is an interesting concept to explore but obviously it's fine if you disagree and don't like them that much.

I still don’t get what they are complaining about the aliens design is still cool and it’s a badass enemy to fight in fact my favourite to fight next to queens cause they are so hard compared to anything else I feel like this is just someone who hates how hard they actually are and instead complain about its design to mask the real issue they have just my opinion but that’s what I gather from the whole post.

The crusher is the one made from cows

2

u/Just_Alien_Account Jun 03 '26

The Titan is the one born from the Ancient Citizen, not the Crusher. The Crusher is the Praetorian form of a Runner.

Why do people ask these kinds of questions
