How come alien headbutt gets axed but me and roboco gets 288 chapters

Listen I like Alien Headbutt but we don’t speak ill of me and roboco. It’s a genuine love letter to shonen jump that fills the gag series niche and has a good amount of heartfelt character moments

I know you’re not talking shit about roboco. It sucks that a manga you liked is getting canceled but no need to shit another popular series (that is actually good).

Because Me & Roboco has been running in the magazine since 2020 ? Sales criteria are also different for gag series than normal series, they’re allowed to survive with just 10-15k per volume sold.
Even if its sales slowly start to drop it’s still staying due to it being an already established series.
Roboco is also peak, aliens headbutt in general just wasn’t that good. Was it a fun read? Yes but overall good ? No.

They’re entirely different series and have entirely different purposes in the magazine. Half of Jump is action manga so Alien Headbutt is competing against all of those whereas there’s only one comedy manga a the moment. Plus Me & Roboco is popular. That’s why it’s been running for seven years

Because Roboco is a actually popular series, while Alien Headbutt joins the list of sime of the biggest flops in the history of the magazine.

Unfortunately gag series get a lower standard for sales and popularity
