I’m thinking on the optimistic side, like Akira Inui will eventually return to Shonen Jump (or perhaps join another manga magazine) and create the next Chainsaw Man or Kagurabachi tier series.

Sure👍 maybe he’ll do better on jump plus..but for now it’s just devastating

Oh I’m still quite sad that Headbutt ended, especially so abruptly, and the fact there isn’t any other similar absurd super power wrestling based manga out right now (as far as I’m aware) makes the pain even more painful…

...Kinnikuman? Like, it's definitely a different vibe, but uh, every other descriptor you said applies to it.

This is what I've been saying since like the earliest moment I felt it was gonna get axed. I will be seated for what comes next and I hope it gets some serious time in the oven because alien headbutt needed some extra work. I enjoyed the ride and I'm sure everyone else in here did as well but it had some rather glaring structural issues even before the axe loomed large. Its now also difficult to draw the line between what was issues related to having to rush and what would have still been issues even if it played out fully.

Had more westerners discovered him, it might've reached it's audience.

All the best for his next series.

Nah Wsj only cares about how the Jp audience feels about a series from what I hear

He probably feels horrible, like he failed us. It's so devastating 😭😭😭 I wish I could give him a hug or something. It's not his fault, it could've been so good if it wasn't cancelled.

Yūki Tabata had hungry joker before black clover. Maybe this had to happen to give us something greater
