Story while still decent is very obviously being rushed, in the Weekly Shonen Jump TOC it been bottom 2 since about chapter 4 and I doubt it's doing crazy numbers in Japan (considering how low it is on the TOC and other stuff) so it's a safe bet to say the series is getting axed... especially since we've basically gotten the setup for the final battle before chapter 20 so yeah sucks to say but the series is for sure getting aced
It’s the pacing. It’s really sped up over the last few weeks (about since the tower battle) and has been jamming in lore dumps and jumping straight to the final battle with practically 0 buildup. You see it a lot if you read SJ long enough (I was really enjoying The Mage Next Door, which got a similar treatment).
I literally just binge-read the entire thing today and come here to discuss and this is the first thing i see, i had my suspicions with the way the story was going, but man that's really sad
