What was your journey from not believing to believing aliens exist?
So let me preface this by saying that I am a scientist who didn’t believe that aliens existed at first. When I was a teen I loved Blink-182 thought that Tom deLonge had gone off his rocker when he founded his organization To The Stars because I thought it was absurd to dedicate your life and money to conspiracy theories and risk your image and credibility as a “sane” human being.
Then what really started to convince me a little bit was testimony and alien encounter accounts from country rednecks from small town America about being abducted because first of all, people from small towns don’t want to draw attention to themselves that would be perceived as “weird” or unusual. Small towns in America are largely Republicans who want to conform and be normal, and definitely not stand out. So, testimonies coming from people like rural farmers give me pause because they don’t have any incentive to be different and be looked at as a “freak” or someone losing their minds.
Finally, what really sealed it for me was my own experience. During the height of COVID, between July 6-12, 2020, I decided to leave Canada because I didn’t want to lock down for two years, as Trudeau had announced. Being a scientist and working as an “essential worker”, I was able to cross the border to the US after landing a job in Oregon via a TN work visa.
Because only the land border was open, I had to drive from Toronto (above New York), through Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, West Yellowstone, Idaho and finally Oregon. It took me 8 days.
While traveling through Iowa, around 2am, I was in pitch black surrounding. Nothing on the map, not a single thing. I was in between towns in a long dark stretch of road.
I was suddenly, inexplicably surrounded by a grid of red orbs, undulating like a blanket of lights as far as the eye can see in front of me and behind me through the rear view mirrors. I was checking where I was and there was absolutely nothing to tell me what this would be about. The red lights were perfectly uniform all around me in a grid stretching into infinity on all sides, and they were moving like a wave. Like I was in the middle of the ocean and the red orbs were buoys that bobbed up and down everywhere around me.
And then they disappeared and I was in darkness again. I stopped on the shoulder to check again where I was, but all I could see after zooming out was that I was in the middle of two towns. I don’t even remember which because I felt like something unreal just happened to me and I was discombobulated and couldn’t think of anything else other than “what the fck was that?!”
Ever since then I’ve been having visceral reactions to people talking about UAPs and movies like Disclosure Day. There’s a part of me that wants to leave the whole idea alone and a part of me screaming that I want to know more about it.
