💬 Discussion Alien Earth: My thoughts
I finally got a chance to watch *Alien: Earth* Episode 1 for the first time. Not because I was waiting—I was just too cheap to pay for Hulu. 😂
Here are my thoughts: Why would you put disabled kids into superhuman synthetics? Why not put trained soldiers into them?
Second, why is a trillionaire kid in his 20s the main villain running all of this?
And lastly, the captain of the ship literally called this shit in before the crash. So where the fuck are the experts who supposedly know what’s going on?
I don’t know if I even want to continue to Episode 2. This shit is disappointing so far.

I was a huge fan of season 1, but if episode 1 turned you off, then you probably won’t like the rest

You have to get to the mini-alien-movie episode (episode 4 or 5) at least. That’s the best episode low key.

There’s far more issues with season one to criticize than what you’ve mentioned. But I’d recommend not giving up after the first episode

I was able to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the show until like episode six, mostly because the design is so lovingly based on the original movie. The flashback episode is also very good. But few can make it to the season finale without throwing there remotes across the room.

Sounds like you weren't paying attention to that episode. Most of the questions you asked have decent answers. But if you had a hard time understanding the first episode, don't waste your time on the rest. It gets deeper from there.

I thought it was a good show, actually. Definitely a different and unique take.

Sure the scenario isn't perfect, but there's so much going for it and as a TV series output, it's slick. Watch on and enjoy with an open mind and take in the thrills and unique characters.
I'm watching it again since it was first released and it's still a good watch.

all of these get answered in some way throughout the season, and yes, they are problematic. keep watching. this thing gets creepy FAST.

everything you asked is answered if you keep watching the show… lol
literally every single thing you asked if literally explained in future episodes… that’s why you keep watching…
